The top players in Belgium born in 1997 or later minus the best prospects who have broken into their respective first teams plus a couple of overage bench players. Watch the highlights, it's probably like PDL or maybe better.

So to recap that's 8 goals in the 8 games i've seen reports for.

Well last i checked he had scored 5 goals in 4 games there were match reports.
They lost 4-0 to Anderlecht on Mar. 19th.
Lost 3-0 to Genk on Mar. 26th. Apparently Gent were missing 4 Belgium youth players.
Then they lost 3-5 to Brugges on Apr. 4th where Johnny scored twice. Video:
On Apr. 9th Gent win 1-2 at Standard. Johnny scores the first to tie the game.

Johnny scored twice again last night in a 5-2 home win over Mechelen.

It appears that some overage players are allowed, Gent had two overagers (90 & 93 born) in the lineup.

From what i can tell most of the players on his team are 98's and 99's with a few 97's.

David is playing with the U21/Reserves in the Belgian Reserve league. Looks like there are no reports for the first 2 matches of this half-season that started Jan. 22nd, the day before David signed. Gent beat Genk 2-4 away (he would not have played anyways) and lost to Anderlecht 1-3 at home on the 29th (might have played). The reports for the last 3 matches are below:
Scored the equalizer and assisted on the winner in a 1-2 victory at Brugges on Feb. 5th

On the 12th he scored 2 goals in a 4-4 draw at home to Standard Liege.

Yes it was Ottawafan who said he was in Belgium. David has signed with Gent II as of Jan. 14th (his 18th bday). This info. was posted to the "2000 age group" thread.

It's simple, they are winning without him. 9 wins and 3 draws last i checked.

Crap, you're right. Checked the lineups and his last game was Aug. 25th. He has played 2 league games, a loss and a draw. His team has won 8 and drawn 3 (0 losses) with him out of the lineup. Yikes.

Judging by your joke i'd say more like Age of Corny-ness.

The biggest mistake i saw at the back was James letting the forward get body position on him which led to a breakaway that ZBG had to race over to break up. That said, Cornelius is probably not our #1 CB.

Good for him. Glad he finally settled in at a good level after the trial ordeal with Grozny and the Stabaek and ending up going to neither.

Yeah i took the list over from you for this site - thinking 2008ish? Joe McCarthy actually did the list on Big Soccer and that's where i took it over from him and not this site. Sorry about the confusion...

That statement of mine was a response to his "thanks for understanding". I don't go around being a dick for no reason.

I am less opposed to a google doc than I am to it being hosted on another website. Fussball has backed down on that so no need to re-visit that (and thank you for that). Anyways let's wait and get more input on the format.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, however i'm sure you'll find alot of senior V's  would rather not relinquish a piece of our tradition. If you can't understand that then i'm sorry, but i'm not going to budge on my opposition to you moving our list over to an external site. The info. may be public knowledge, but our seperate, sovereign list must remain on this site. No one is stopping you from posting your list wherever you like, but if you take on the position of maintaining the V's MOACA it should temain on our site, shared or not.
As with anything on this site there should be input from everyone, especially the senior members, contributors, past stewards and leaders.

The idea is that the MOACA list is property of the Voyageurs and that we are the safe keepers of said property. Hosting the list on an external site is essentially outsourcing something that numerous people have worked hard to maintain for this supporters group for almost 20 years.

Sorry but those are the rules and there is no negotiating. Myself and Joe McCarthy maintained the list on multiple sites when we maintained the list and so can you.

Fussball, thank you for taking over the list - it is usually a thankless job so good on you.
One thing though, the list needs to be posted in the first post of this thread and not linked to an external site.

It's been 4 or 5 years since he co-won the Feyenoord ID camp in Toronto but I think NaKye Greenidge-Duncan of TFC is still a good prospect at this age group. As of 2017 he was still playing up an age group with the 2002's.

That sounds great, but there are alot of factors involved that it really isn't so simple. If Halifax had a team this season and Liam was in the starting XI and excelling would that not be a good thing? Was it not a good thing for Alex Bunbury, Paul Peschisolido, Jason de Vos, Paul Stalteri etc. What if Liam gets stuck behind a better prospect? What if he has a bad loan spell? etc.
