If anyone should make room for Fraser it is Marky Delgado, not Bradley. Yes Liam can play as a 6, but he doesn't have to.
TFC should consider moving Delgado for assets, since his value is high enough to get a decent return.
The best case for Liam, TFC and (probably) Bradley is to resign the TFC captain to a TAM contract and ship out Delgado (possibly for some TAM) and give Fraser some of Delgado's minutes.
When the time comes that Bradley is done, Liam can become the dedicated 6 and Osorio should still be around as the 8, with Pozuelo as the 10.
Lose Delgado and gain a DP spot.

When he came in me and the friends I came with were shocked/disappointed.  How could an uncapped player come in for an MLS all star in the biggest Canada game we had attended? Well, he proved us wrong.. what a performance. This is a career turning moment and if TFC doesn’t see that then it’s time to move on.

Now that this game is behind us and all the squad selection and lineup talk is over (for now) I would like to say how wonderful it is to have legitimate discussions about player selections.
It wasn't long ago that the squad and lineup was made up of 50% or more of FC Unattached players.  CanMNT has come a long way in the last decade.
Also, if you didn't see the Cavallini interview on the pre-game give it a watch.  If this is the mentality of the entire squad Canada's place in CONCACAF is only starting its ascension.

I've also wondered this but I think you need to go back to the initial "save", which might have been over the line already even if the ref didn't call it.  Anyway, it looks like the ball is over the line before David touches it and it was spinning that way anyhow.

Yea, I thought he was good besides the two poor crosses (which were actually in great spots).  Those crosses hurt because at that point it was 1-0 and we couldn't afford to needlessly give away possession.  He did a nice job of making their back line work, together with Cavallini ... what a luxury to have those two come off the bench.

Hoilett had chances and kept them busy and honest, good professional head on him.
Would not have been my choice, at least so early, but shows what I know.
Edit- I will say he fluffed a couple crosses.

Well, when we are ranked nearly top-20 in the World and lose to someone over 50 or 60 spots below us, we will make every excuse in the book to try to make ourselves believe we're not losing steam.
I mean.. we never acted like we're a powerhouse. But we acted just as douchey when it came to Haiti. 90% of us we're hoping to play Haiti because it's an easier match and we should have won. We didn't. And we whined.
It's pro sports. No real reason to to bash the Americans among ourselves. Save that for friendly bickering.

Not really.  If he serves us better as an attacking LW, I don't care if Bayern throw gloves on him and put him in net.  At least for the next couple of years (until he would maybe be totally reshaped as a LB) what bayern does with him in no way dictates what we should do.

Yeah, I chuckled at that as well. I think the US have scored an almighty 3 goals against us since 2007.
I hate all this "first time beating them since 1985" crap because we beat them in 1990 in the Three Nations Cup (which was the North American championship at the time before the Gold Cup started the following year) and also beat them in 1988 in the first leg of Olympic Qualifying (at the time it wasn't an U23 tournament but the full national teams) - but for some reason the American's have been able to whitewash those results as not counting. Well, they aren't going to be able to do that this time!

Matt Doyle and co. are on ETR saying that it would be unwise for Canada to press the USA. His comment was (I am paraphrasing) that Mexico pressed us and it hurt us, but Canada are not Mexico. Is he saying that Mexico press particularly well and there's no evidence our press would be as effective?
I guess you guys can decide, but either way that lot seem to think the US will play through our press with ease. I think they are overeating themselves. They also repeatedly say they expect the US to win the possession battle, or say that Canada won't have most of the ball, as if this was some forgone conclusion.
Perhaps I am being a homer, but when I look at both teams there is nothing to suggest we cannot match them in posession. Whether we do is another thing, but if they are expecting to out-posess us 70/30, on the road away from home, they are dreaming. Mckennie, Bradley, Roldan, Lleget, Yueill, Trapp...whoever they go with is not going to pass circles around Arfield, Kaye, Osorio or Piette. They may win the possession battle because of how they want to play, but I can see us winning the ball in key areas (Piette & Kaye esp) and putting them under pressure, leading to a lot of frantic moments, which should hopefully scramble their offensive patterns.
This won't be the same as parking the bus against Mexico, but their media seems to think we are going to sit back and hit them on the counter. No, I think we are going to play an open game against them and try to play them off the park. We have the players to do it, if everyone has a good game. If our lads aren't focused and dialed in, the Americans can hurt us just as easily.
I think it's going to come down to who wants it more, especially in the midfield.

Vid of footytalks show on Friday night. No Herdman this time around. Even KJ has a so-called "intelligent" football friend who didn't know this match was happening. I think we need to stop calling these as intelligent/knowledgeable football people when they don't even know what's happening in their backyard.
