Im not sure about numbers but ive really enjoyed watching the games at Spruce Meadows. Looks great and the supporters seem to be creating a great environment. Stands look pretty full to me. Full marks for the Red Green tifo

Yup. If the tickets were at a price they could fill the mains grandstand if would be incredible. The foot soldiers are absolutely killing it from the supporters section.

Today the CSA was supposed to release the 40-man provisional roster for the Gold Cup, the same one that John Herdman submitted to CONCACAF on Thursday

Nowhere to be seen, anyone know why?

I could be wrong, but I think I seen someone post they won’t release it till the 20th.

Some of those Blainville guys look like they should get a closer look by CPL teams.

Why does a team like Pacific FC have a small roster when their is still untapped talent to be picked in Canada?

How about a short contract for the fall season for a few of these? Or even a short loan that can be used as a long tryout?

Have to think it’s the CPL small cap. They probably shelled out most of their cap space on marcel and Haber.

Do you have a link for that? Don't remember seeing that posted anywhere previously and Paul Beirne didn't seem as upbeat on anything happening quickly when he was on an Edmonton podcast a few weeks ago. The absence of a new team being accepted into CSA membership at the CSA AGM earlier this month would also tend to suggest nothing is 100% finalized yet (assuming he wasn't talking about Ottawa). I guess if he did say that he could have been talking about Saskatoon where the date of entry into the league is very much open ended when Joe Belan discusses it in interviews.

It was said in a video interview. Can’t remember which one it was some time around the launch of the league.

So how many points does it take to win the Spring Season?

And will it really come down to July 1 after all?

I am guessing 21, and no.

Yeah all the CPL analyst are floating 20-21. Seems like a good bet, and no I think the team that win it my guess(Cavs) win it before the final weekend.

  6. Cavs are definitely the team to beat. I think they can rest a lot of their starters in Wednesdays cup match against PFC and still get a draw or win. Then put out the A team against Edmonton on Saturday. If they win Saturday I don’t see anyone catching them, especially at that point they would have beaten all the top teams.
