  1. Looks like Canada is going for a 3-5-2 with Schmidt playing as one of the CBs. Not a bad move considering we have very little fullback depth, and this allows us to use non-defenders out wide in the midfield. I believe Beckie was playing the right-wingback role the last 2 games, and Chapman/Lawrence taking up the left-wingback role. This also allows us to move Lawrence up and utilize some of her creativity and skilled passing.
  2. First player that came to my mind when Herdman was describing the player was Fikayo Tomori
  3. I believe he was close to signing with Tulsa at some point during the 2018 season. He ultimately didn't sign in 2018, but did train in Tulsa.
  4. Latest Alphonso Davies youtube video, filmed in St. Kitts. I found this pretty entertaining, and cool to see a little behind the scenes of the MNT.
  6. I'm not sure if this has been posted already. Pretty interesting watch.
  7. Desiree Scott misses out due to injury (out 6-8 weeks). Excited to see what this squad can do. I would've liked to see Hellstrom involved in the tournament, as I've never actually seen her play for Canada (and she was listed as a FB, a position where we could use more depth).
  8. A trio of players from Quebec retired in 2017 (Wilkinson, Nault, Belanger). But I agree, I am also surprised that there aren't more players from Quebec on the roster.
  9. Pre-tournament camp roster (23 players): https://www.canadasoccer.com/canada-soccer-set-to-open-pre-tournament-camp-in-texas-ahead-of-2018-concacaf-women-s-championship-p161809
  10. From the highlights, looked like a 4-3-3 for the closed-door match. Labbe Agnew-Buchanan-Zadorsky-Chapman Schmidt-Quinn-Grosso Prince-Huitema-Leon This could've been a 3-5-2 with Quinn dropping in between Buchanan and Zadorsky, but looking at the highlights, it looked like Quinn was slightly ahead of the CBs, although it is hard to tell. Looks like they ended the game with this, same formation: D'Angelo Agnew-Zadorsky-Quinn-Lawrence Schmidt-Scott-Matheson Riviere-Sinclair-Beckie Good to see some of the young players getting in some game time.
  11. Anyone know how she got injured in the game today? I was only able to catch the majority of the 2nd half.
  12. SO close for Millar. Great play by Wotherspoon, Akindele, and Millar.
  13. Millar in the middle now with Edwards on the left and Akindele on the right.
