    This is complete BS.
    1) The CSA tried to form in a league again in..the early 2000s?  With that CPSL (I forget the exact abbreviations).  Never got it off the ground at all.  There was so little progress from Canadian soccer that it took the fans actually going out to form a Cup competition for the teams playing in the USL/A-League.  There was zero progress on a domestic league in any form when MLS came along and had Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal join.
    2) The Canadian soccer team was sliding down the FIFA rankings LONG before MLS came to Canada.
    3) The CPL has played zero games so far.  The Canadian men's team is the best it's been in decades.  13 of the squad against French Guiana have either played or currently play for MLS teams.
If you want to say that Canadian soccer is going to be better for having the CPL, I'll 100% agree.  Again, it's going to give more players opportunities and more fans (either hard core or casual) exposure to the sport.  These are good things.  But to dismiss the good things that MLS has done for Canadian soccer (even if more could have been done) is gaslighting the issue.

He'll go back to Barça B after the season, in early June. He just might get to play a few games in the promotion playoff, if they can make it. If they promote, they can play him in 2nd division next season as that would be an acceptable level, and they can't call up their u-19s as readily for the level. If they don't promote, another loan, but starting with a team's pre-season.
Eventually, however, since he does not seem to be a legit contender for a Barça first team roster spot, he'll have to go find a pro team and make a career of it. In some ways these first 6 weeks in Albacete, with skim minutes, is his first real test, it's up to him to rise to the occasion.

Maybe that's exactly why Herdman has shortened that list? Because he is trying to at least increase familiarity of the young ones and develop them for the future. Because we are weak in that position he is trying to focus only on 4-5 players in that position so that they get all the help they can get. In theory, it makes sense.

I don’t get why people always call that a New Zealand C team. I looked it up, and they were missing maybe 5 players. It would have been like us missing Arfield, Hoilett, Hutch, Larin, and James. Wouldn’t be a huge deal, and definitely no C team. Just an A team missing a few top players.

I am just so hugely thankful that we had another crazy talent hiding in plain sight.  While Davies got the hype (and justifiably so) David just forced his way into everyone's attention.  To quote Don Cherry, "What a beauty".  Having David in the mix gives me so much more confidence going forward.  People have largely forgotten that the big pre game announcement last week was that we would be missing both Davies and Arfield - two of our most potent attacking forces.  No problem, we have David, Cav, and Hoilett to get the job done.  It is crazy to think that we hardly even missed the guys that were out due to injury (!).  And that is no knock on them - it is just a testament to the fact that we have attacking depth that I can't recall.
And David is so friggin young he is just going to get better. Woot woot!

All that matters now is that he gets some real playing time in Montreal.he is a dynamic player. I was watching at a pub and the tv was a little far away, several times I thought the nice play was from David only to realize after that it was ZBG.

Got my email for Edmonton flex packs. I checked the sales online, and so far of their reserve seat sections over it seems like around 75% blacked out. I checked the tickets on a Wednesday game, so I am assuming most of the blacked out seats are seasons memberships. I think we will see a lot of packed games this year in Edmonton.

Both Gladbach and BVB have great histories of developing young players. I am confident he would develop at either club. I really don’t like BVB though, Gladbach would be a great place to land.

Osorio has had a tough career. He has had to constantly earn him minutes both with TFC and the Nats. He isn’t our most skilled midfielder, but I don’t understand how anyone could question his character. He works harder than almost anyone on the pitch. He doesn’t stand around waiting for the ball to come to him, he makes more runs than Larin does, and Larin is a striker. I don’t believe Osorio is a lock in our starting lineup, but a passion to be on the field isn’t a bad thing. Maybe his hissy fit was wrong, but give him a break, he doesn’t deserve anything extreme. All he needs is a talk with Herdman.

I thought we showed some real promise overall. I like the fact that we won 4-1 on what was a mediocre showing. All teams will have struggles, what matters is peaking at the right time. For example, look at Croatia, they obviously peaked at the right time in the world Cup. Assuming we get a couple friendlies before the gold Cup I could see this team really developing chemistry and getting on a role. They played much better in this game than their last 2 games, so you can see the upward trend.

I watched the match in the company of a TFC fan who bitched about almost everything  Osorio did which was way off base, I thought he played quite well as he usually does with his club team! Even a break out year being arguably TFC’s most consistent performer and winning the CCL Golden Boot hasn’t stopped the haterz who populate the stands at BMO!

Never said he had nothing to offer. Im saying with everyone healthy no way he's in our starting lineup. No matter how much tfc fans wish it to be true.

His entire gameplan is to stand as far away from the play as possible so he can get the ball in space. He's good when he gets it but im not sure that helps us on a whole

A lot of the people (especially on Twitter) who are attacking Oso seem to already be anti-Oso, of which he has a lot of, so all these attacks on his character isn't surprising. If he scored a goal they'd probably complain he didn't celebrate hard enough.
