  1. Section 203. Player eligibility (a) Teams entering the Open Cup shall use their official league roster as their Open Cup roster. Except as specified in this Policy or except as the result of discipline matters imposed by U.S. Soccer, all players on an official league roster will be eligible for Open Cup competition, regardless of any status (e.g. injured reserve) each player may have with regard to league competition. Players on loan from another team or league may not be included on an Open Cup roster, with the exception of the following: 1) Loaned players originating from teams competing in leagues that are not active participants in the Open Cup Tournament or qualifying process (professional indoor leagues, foreign clubs, etc.); 2) players on loan from other US clubs for a period of greater than 90 days; or 3) players from teams who have been deemed ineligible for the current Open Cup competition due to the provisions of Section 202(d) and are loaned to the team exercising roster control pursuant to Section 202(d). A team may list up to 18 players on its game day roster. Professional teams may have no more than 5 foreign players listed . Amateur teams are not restricted as to the number of foreign players they may list. Foreign players shall be those players who are not protected individuals as defined in 8 U.S.C. § 1324b (e.g. U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees and refugees). Any conflicting Outdoor Professional League roster rules shall not apply to the number of foreign players allowed to compete in the Open Cup. This is what I found in the US open Cup handbook from 2019.
  2. All i meant was this interesting that they all came from that one Club. Pretty sure that Harris played there most of his youth(He reffed for me in another organization). It seems that the go to Clubs or academies seem to change every couple of years. I know that in my years of coaching many of my players were "recruited" by others. At one time there regs about how many players you were allowed outside of your area, but pretty sure that's long gone. And then there are coaches who move from club to club taking most of their players with them.
  3. Adrian Cann, Doneil Henry, Nana attakora, Marco Reda at CB in the past.
  4. All 4 of these draftees came through Vaughan SC.
  5. Just wondering if there were this many(4) Canadians drafted this early previuosly?
  6. Dayonn Harris from Milton is drafted by Salt Lake
  7. TFC takes Nyal Higgins from Ajax,Ontario in the superdraft
  8. Only thing missing is a decent stadium to play their games.
  9. Glad that he re-signed. Hope that he got a decent raise
  10. Jordan Hamilton has been re-signed by Columbus https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/12/12/columbus-crew-sc-re-sign-jordan-hamilton-sign-matt-lampson
  11. Chicago has exercised their option on Raheem for next season. Transaction: Chicago Fire FC exercises the 2020 contract options on forward CJ Sapong and defender/midfielder Raheem Edwards on Nov. 21, 2019
  12. I was surprised that they were even trying to continue. Talked to one of the players from the previuos season and he hadn"t been paid.
  13. Just wondering if the owner of this team when it was in CSL a few years back would have the money or interest in runnibd a CPL team. I remember that they were well run a had pretty good team including Clint Irwin in goal.
  14. According to the HNK Gorica game reports for their junior it looks like he is a midfielder. They have as Ivan Josip Zorica. They don't play in the top Croatian jr. league, but he is steadily a starter for them. Played for Winnipg Phoenix FC previously.
  15. Found this registration in Croatia; NK "TRNJE", ZAGREB: Akinpelu Promise Oluwatobi Emmanuel (Vaughan Soccer Club) Trnje plays in the 3rd division. Was registered 2 weeks ago.
  16. This was a first game for CMNT that I can remember attending that was 99% pro Canadian. It was a great seeing this. The chemistry between the midfield trio of Piette,Arfield and Osorio is so good to see. They know where each one will be and rotation of positions between them is very fluid. The other point is having Vitoria as defensive anchor was huge last night. He was in control back there.
  17. I didn't get tix in the south end since my knees wouldn't hold up to standing all game.
  18. They do have a deal where you get 4 tickets for the price of 3. I got my 4 tickets in the lower bowl for less than $100.00 a while ago(that's including the service charges).
  19. He was the usual disinterested self
  20. Toronto Croatia doesn't exist anymore and the other teams play in a league that only exists for the overseas betting. There is no community involment or fans.
  21. I'm not sure where you're the info about Canadians taking International slots on US based MLS teams. The only one that I see in this category is Raheem Edwards, the rest all have domestic status.
  22. Bigger issue for York 9 attendance would be Saturday afternoon games. In Ontario the kids under 12 participate in what they call festivals. These events take place Saturday mornings and early afternoon. A friend od mine's son's team was asked to participate in the game opening ceremonies at a York 9 game and only 4 kids(parents) opted to participate. Also, he is given comp tickets on a regular basis. Now that the 'summer' is over we'll see if it makes a difference.
  23. TFC usually gives 2 V cup games in the ST package and since they only entered this year's competion in the semis the finals are included. Last year you had to buy the tickets for the finals
  24. Honduras does play T&T in a home and away series as well as Martinique.
