    So  last response
how many 20 year olds get to train with Liverpool FC first team especially Canadians? To be in that environment to be around those players and coaches. It is an opportunity he can’t replace

Anyways the truth is these are incredibly difficult and complicated situation. Everyone is an expert who doesn’t actually know what’s involved
And firstly I take every decision we make extremely seriously  this is his life and his career not some FM game or FIFA game  this is his livelihood and future even more so now with his soon to be expanding family. We ask and take the advice of experts his agent, his manager, people at the club and a few LFC like SM and RF legends as well as canmnt teammates in Scottie and junior that have been nice enough to speak to Liam about options and their experiences
And 2ndly even if he did want to leave LFC has the say in if and when he leaves(until the end of his contract which is currently July 2021 with a one year extension) he can choose where he wants to go but lfc have to approve it and sign off on it.

They have already turned down several 7 figure offers for him. They hve a valuation Which they want to get back if he were to leave but currently we have been told they don’t want him to leave he is part of Klopps expanded plans.

Also  if he wants to go out on loan again in the fall he will have to resign a new contact(3 more years) with Lfc  we have already been told( this is the business)
So lots of moving parts lots of things to think about and decide in but at the moment Liam is making the most out of his time at LFC. That’s all I can ask him to do. Work hard take your chances and see where it takes you...

sorry long post and no disrespect meant. Been a long day of painting...😊

There have been a few decent oppositions amongst those 24 consecutive starts. He's already crushed it a head-to-head with Jadon Sancho once before.

I think Bayern to Real is arguably a lateral move. Both are 5 teams in the world any given season. Realistically if he is an above average starter at Bayern, then he can play at any team in the world. The cool thing is just seeing what he would be sold for/valued at on the world market.

I dont care what the reason they signed him is. It is good for York, good for the league, and good for Canada having players move on.

There has been so many videos of how awesome Davies has been, not sure if this one has been posted yet. Gives another of credit to Davies for one of their biggest wins of the season.

From a poster on Reddit r/CanadianPL who has demonstrated accurate insight in the past.
CPL exploring a tournament style restart to season in single location
The league is looking at putting all 8 teams in one place, to mitigate travel cost and exposure to COVID19.  Each club is making a strong pitch to host this event, with Winnipeg the logical front runner because of it’s geographic advantage, and only 33 active cases in the province.  Vancouver Island is another strong candidate because of relatively small case numbers.  This would be a closed door, made for TV event.
Format and structure are being explored, with Canada Day the target for kick-off.  Afterwards, the league hopes to play a compressed balanced schedule in empty stadiums with some concerns over our case numbers in Ontario.

The obvious answers are 2 groups of 4 or 3 groups of 4.  I've been thinking that with limited matchdays the most fair thing is to use a version of the Matchvision pot format that they used for Nations League qualifying but instead of 34 teams, only include 8,10, or 12 teams.
Say you only have 6 match days to work with.  With any combination of 8, 10, or 12 teams each team plays 6 games against 6 different opponents of varying strength and are measured against each other in a single table (3 home and 3 away).  Instead of having a draw for groups, you instead have a draw for fixtures.
For an example of 12 teams, each team (including Mexico and USA) would have a schedule like this
Game 1 vs #1 Mexico or #2 USA
Game 2 vs #3 Costa Rica or #4 Jamaica
Game 3 vs #5 Honduras or #6 El Salvador
Game 4 vs #7 Canada or #8 Curacao
Game 5 vs #9 Panama or #10 Haiti
Game 6 vs #11 Trinidad or #12 Antigua

I prefer this for several reasons
    1) Removes the unfair advantage of being a top seed.  Group systems have a self fulfilling prophecy where top seeds do not have to face other top seeds.  In a system with 3 groups of 4, Mex, USA, and Costa Rica would play ZERO games against their fellow top seeds.  Meanwhile, everyone else has to play two games against top seeds.  If 33% of your games are against top seeds, you are being required to clear a higher bar than teams playing 0% of their games against top seeds.  Contrast that with the pot system where the average strength of fixtures is mathematically even for ALL teams.  There is zero advantage to being seeded.
    2) Play a larger sample size of opponents.  The chances of drawing a group of death are far higher than drawing a schedule of death in the pot system because the sample size is doubled.
    3) Easier to compare teams against one another in a single table.  The criticism would be "not all teams have played each other so how is that fair".  Many of the formats proposed using groups have some element of "best 2nd place finisher" which already has the exact same problem but worse.  In that case you are not only comparing teams guaranteed not to have played each other, you are comparing teams with zero common opponents.

If I had to guess on a possible schedule, assuming the rest of this year is out the window and they still had to finish qualifying by the end of 2021 it could look something like this.
March 2021:  2 leg knockout round with bye for top 5.  Nations League final 4 would happen concurrently which Vic has stated will still happen
June 2021: Another 2 leg knockout round
July 2021: Gold Cup (Vic insists it is happening)
Sept, Oct, and Nov 2021: 6 game pot system involving 10 or 12 teams.  (To do it with less than 10 teams you need more than two preceding knockout rounds)
That's 10 games to sort everything.  The top 5 ranked teams would only play 8 games.
