All of this gaming the coeffient talk just adds a lot of extra risk, especially if El Salvador and Curacao go and find similar opportunities, or if we lose during the semi finals, although there is no way to know yet what the point results for those matches would be. Realistically for the good of the program we should be focused on winning in November and then seeing how things shake out with the other teams and how they can do before we start figuring out what types of friendlies we may need to play

Can't blame Crepeau for the first one, getting megged was definitely on him although the defense was also questionable on that goal

Coramoor reacted to Gian-Luca in 2017 Toronto FC season (aka the 2017 MLS Cup clinching thread)
If the rest of the defense is playing the offiside trap they have a funny way of going about it - Bradley is standing still ball-watching and is the main (and probably only) culprit on the goal (unless blame is put on whoever it was that allowed Kaka to make the pass) while look at the huge gap between Moor and Hernandez in central defense when the ball is played. All three central defenders are playing on a different horizontal line which is absolutely not the way to play an offside trap. Moor is a few feet above the 18 yard box, Zavaleta is on the 18 yard box line, and Hernandez is a few feet inside the box. You've also got Bradley playing a foot ahead of Hernandez and then Morgan a couple of feet behind him, man-marking Larin.
I would imagine if Vanney does ask Morgan what he was doing on the play, the response would be something like "Well, since we clearly weren't playing the offside trap (or if we were, we doing it extremely poorly to the point that anyone could be forgiven for thinking that we weren't), I decided to man-mark their most dangerous striker since nobody else seemed to be doing that. Had I been pushed up the field on the play not marking anyone, I'm sure you would have been screaming at me for lax defending. Get off my case, man!" Well, I'm not sure about the last sentence, but you get the idea...

I actually disagree when it comes to Hutch, he almost always looks off balance but he makes it work, he's got a spider leg thing going on.
Petrasso runs with fantastic control whenever I've seen him play, hopefully he'll be able to get into the good graces of the new QPR manager.

no player is going to want to leave during the playoffs to fly 15+ hours each way for a 1 off friendly.
Ricketts makes regular appearance as does Johnson, sheer foolishness
Hamilton is the natural backup if either Altidore or Ricketts gets hurt in training.
Akindele makes regular appearances, maybe if he really wants to go he'll call up the CSA and they'll get him a flight.
99.9% sure Morgan is still hurt, he was 6-8 weeks somewhere around 7 weeks ago iirc
It's a pretty meaningless friendly with 8 months until they play a meaningful game again, their club situations are far more important.
There would be a far stronger argument to be made if they were playing two games in the window but with only 1 I can't see how it would be remotely worth it for a lot of these guys
