Miller has been lights out for Minnesota tonight. Probably means he's earned a start on the weekend. His defence is not helping him out at all though.

He made Altidores performances this season look immense.
He did have a couple of nice touches but generally the movement wasnt there and his all round play was laboured. Almost scared to get involved. It was like Theo Bair got into his head and body.

Has to be consideration for challenging financial times too.
Ideally for me at least, fill in the pyramid with a Prairie L1 and the other holes so there are league ones across the board. Then in a year or two those clubs wanting to push higher can so league II. There is no need to rush this. Grow with the clubs rather than trying to go top down.
I know there are likely a few clubs that want to push higher than div 2 but there has to be a system to support growth of a div 2. Just stripping d3 of a bunch of clubs doesnt make sense to me right now, unless there are a bunch of new clubs ready to replace them.

Dom Dwyer might not make it to see BMO. Meaning he’s on an extended trial, while they are there.

I don’t mind this move with Ayo and Jozys injuries problems, Mullins ain’t it, and Perruzza just isn’t ready yet to lead the line.

I think more games at the USL Championship level could better prepare him. He did only play 5 games last season...

His injury happened at the worst time but has been exacerbated by Dwyers arrival. This season was a big chance for both Akinola and Peruzza to stake their claims as starters.
The upside is both Mullins and Dwyer are journeyman vets and squad players. With both Akinola and Altidore's fitness problems I am sure Jordan will see more minutes when fit. Had TFC gone out and signed a starting striker I would be more worried. Dwyer will play the Ricketts role and hopefully pass on some great experience.

You're right, but its too bad because he should be playing at a higher level.  Two years ago at 18, he lit up the USL League One.  At least with TFC II, he can likely get some minutes with the 1st team but he is too good in my opinion to be playing regularly in the USL League One.  Just look at what he was able to do in a short period last season in the USL Championship.

With the addition of Dom Dwyer, it might useful for Toronto FC to loan Peruzza off to a CPL or another USL club for at least part of the season.  This move likely pushes Peruzza further down the pecking order now and I would hate to see his development stall.  He should be with a club in which he will be playing every game.  It will benefit Peruzza and it will benefit Toronto FC in the longterm as well.

I would call him up ahead of Ferriera for sure.
The thing that could hold him back might be Korean covid re-entry rules. I haven't checked on those lately.
Edit: K-League has a break from June 1 until July 20. So if he is healthy there is no reason why he can't be called. His team's last match before the break is May 29.

I know it's already been mentioned in the Canadians Abroad thread but Doneil Henry came off the bench to score the game winner in the 86th minute today on a nice header off a set piece.
It's been awhile since he has trained and played for Canada but if he's capable of travelling, he should be with the Canada squad next month.  Not everyone might agree with me but now that he is healthy again, I still see him as a presence within this squad.

I just don't get why a bubble format as a backup wasn't planned for in the first place. This was always going to be a possible outcome, so why are we still scrambling and delaying start dates.
Any one of these players could have pulled a hamstring at the start of last season, and not played a game for 20 odd months because of a short term injury. These kids need games

I'm just frustrated that NHL teams have been allowed to continue playing across the country, and some CPL teams (just the Ontario ones maybe?) still aren't allowed to even train. There are just as many players on a hockey team, and no doubt NHL teams have more staff than CPL teams, and they are playing/training indoors which is riskier than outside. It's frustrating.
But the CPL probably can't just bet on being able to play in home stadiums. It's probably safer to plan for a bubble to buy some time rather than waiting for authorization for just a bit longer, just a bit longer, just a bit longer, all summer long.

I expect that SkSSS would need a year to build the team, the Chill would be in the East (probably next year), and the Whitecaps U-23 might need to be available for the big club?

Around 6/7 speakers via pre-recorded videos from the Horse Racing community- a couple there on phone for any follow up questions.
    - First video started by saying this would affect hundreds of people.
    - Horse Racing community highlighted and displayed on screen parts of the lease agreement with PL and the City claiming Prairieland has a commitment to the Race Track and cannot make any alterations to the grandstand not to do with Horse racing. They said changing those terms would need an amendment and show favouritism to Prairieland and that they don't support Horse Racing and its culture/traditions.
    - One speaker in her video asked all councillors to unmute speak up and confirm intent if they wouldn't support horse racing.
    - One speaker showed emails saying Prairieland had not responded and didn't give the horseracing community a chance. He said Pan-Am wanted to buy it (a claim Mark Regier literally laughed off on CKOM radio and said was absolutely untrue).
    - One speaker spoke at length about the youth movement in horse racing thriving, that there was nowhere else in Saskatoon for kids to see horses (yes). Also said that Prairieland provided great facilities/stadium but maybe not other support. Later talked about financial support and said Prairieland maybe, maybe not but
    - One video said this was systematic racism shutting down the Horse Racing.
    - One video talked about how they wanted to set up programs with at risk kids, improve women in horse racing and several other initiatives. (They want to now? sorry I started writing this somewhat unbiased I swear).
    - They asked City to take the land off PL and lease it to them.
City Solicitors confirmed the following from questions from councillors after:
    - Those words shown are not binding in relationship to the entire document/agreement (assuming they have cherry picked those quotes without reading or understanding the whole document) there is an amendment that allows for changes at Prairieland.
    - There is nothing Prairieland has done that breaks the lease agreement or is wrong. Prairieland has broken no zoning laws or tax laws. If the City was to take some type of measure like the Horse Racing people are asking for they would be in breach of contract and liable in court/arbitration
    - Said to councillors and guests: City council cannot dictate or get involved in business decisions to Prairieland (force to keep racing) but technical aspects/applications of the build will have to be approved by city council. They used the example of the last technical amendment being updating a kitchen onsite. (while this is a grey area this sounds like a basic planning permission application meeting specs). Essentially they can approve that everything meets code but can't make comment on the use.
    - The current lease agreement runs to 2044 (there is an auto renew option for further years after that iirc) The land is tied to that as above, breaking that agreement would leave the city liable.
    - The solicitor stated that it is possible the Soccer Stadium application might need a re-zoning application for that land. This wasn't a confirmation but stated as a possibility, the application hasn't been sent and city not formally approached yet by Living Sky and PL, so the solicitor can't say anything else.
