  1. Hi everyone, I have 2 tickets for the Toronto match on Sunday, June 11 in section 111, row 2. I'm unable to attend so it'd be great if someone else could enjoy it. The tickets are typically worth $70+, but I'm happy to sell them for $55. We can meet up in Toronto or do an e-transfer.
  2. If there are any tickets left, I'd love to grab one or two. The counting process is probably why I can't access ticket purchases at the moment for "Section 114 - Hardcore section"? I'm grabbing tickets for a friend and neither of us have sat in the (hardcore) supporters section of any kind. Would it be viable to bring a camera (DSLR)?
  3. I spoke with Kara Lang yesterday during the Rock the Pitch event. She talked about what she's been up to since retiring and a bit on Morace. http://www.allwhitekit.com/?p=7401 We didn't get a chance to chat, but it was nice seeing some of the Canadian Soccer News crew rep the Soccer Scribes!
  4. Is Adidas totally out of the picture now? Do you happen to know who the new kit partner is? If anything I'd guess it might be Umbro since they signed a bunch of Women's National Teamers as their personal sponsors at the end of the summer.
  5. http://www.canadasoccer.com/news/viewArtical.asp?Press_ID=4572 Morace's also giving Lang a look as a leftback.
  6. I'm not sure if you guys have seen this, but there are a few notes from a previous article that you might be interested in. http://allwhitekit.com/2010/09/30/canada-vs-china-match-preview-and-notes/

  8. "Following the game against Germany, the Canadians will take a short break before traveling to Ontario, Canada for more training from September 21 to October 1. The team will be based in Alliston, Ontario and will head to Toronto on September 28. They will face China in two international friendlies on September 26 and 30. The game on September 30 will be played at BMO Field (Toronto) at 7:30pm. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 1 via Ticketmaster (Ticketmaster.ca / 416.872.5000). This match will be the first time the CWNT has played on home soil since their May 25, 2009 game against the USWNT, also contested at BMO Field. With the WPS Championship game taking place on September 26, Sinclair, Chapman and others should be available." http://allwhitekit.com/2010/08/29/the-canadian-womens-national-teams-upcoming-schedule/ Similar things as what's already known about the CWNT schedule, but certain points are elaborated upon.

  10. My apologies for posting this so late! Here are a few posts on AllWhiteKit.com covering the senior national team. The first entry is about the camp roster and game that took place in Maryland, the second is a history lesson on the team's origins, and the third covers the team since Morace took over as the head coach. Hope you guys enjoy it! http://allwhitekit.com/2010/05/24/canadian-womens-national-team-update/ http://allwhitekit.com/2010/06/01/canadian-national-team-update/ http://allwhitekit.com/2010/06/02/canadian-womens-national-team-the-present-era/

  12. Found this gem over at Big Soccer by Micol: I think during Germany's match against North Korea, it was announced that Germany will play Canada in September. It doesn't mention where the game will take place, but this is still worth a happy dance. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19947121&postcount=794
  13. Is there any speculation as to who we may play or where? For selfish reasons I'd like for them to play in Toronto, but given the fact that the two previous games have been here it'd make sense to have games in different cities. Just for kicks: what if we were to play a WPS team instead of national team? Perhaps it could drum up attention for the league, as well as the Canadian players over there, and gauge the potential of having a local WPS team. Bring in Boston and watch Latham (potentially) wreak havoc on her former team
  14. http://www.rb.no/tv/article4557060.ece Rhian posted this video on her blog. She and Diana participated in competitions against eachother in some PR stuff for Team Strommen. Since the CWNT gets so little coverage anyway, it's nice to be able to see them in a non-soccer setting. Soo rare!
  15. What soccer methodology/stlye (I don’t even know if that’s the correct terminology, lol) do the girls play in their NCAA programs? I'm guessing they lean towards being possession oriented, but it's interesting that the Canadian girls are successful in their collegiate teams but it isn't exactly translating into their international play. There are probably a number of factors that contribute to this; does it all go back to Pellerud's style? time and money? the collection of players out there?... (Probably just reiterating what everyone has already said.) Things are still a little shaky but do look promising. Defense looks like it’s shaping up pretty well, but much remains to be desired in the offense. They held possession well and passed along the ground in the Canadian half of the field, but as soon as they passed midfield it all sort of fell apart. They’d suddenly loft the ball into the air and lose possession, or try to spring a player but with too heavy of a touch on the ball. Sinclair looked good, as did Julien. I totally cheered when Julien faked out a few defenders in the box (ohh, so close to a goal) and the fact that they call her Corky makes me like her even more! I lothe the fact that it's so difficult to get news about the CWNT players. Does anyone know what's up with Randee Hermus? She hasn’t been called up this year, and if I remember correctly, although this might have been an old article I read, she’s been taking on more of a leadership role/coaching the youngins on the Whitecaps. It’s difficult to imagine that she’ll be 30 this year. Do you think she’ll be back with the national team? I’m ecstatic about Parker being around because she’s been working her butt off on the pitch. What about bringing back players from the past like Katie Thorlakson? She was a scoring beast at Notre Dame.
