DigzTFC got a reaction from ahmedou in Gregoire Świderski
I would hope he signs with Deportivo Alaves. Regardless, he will be going to any club as the third option at this point. These are the two options ahead of him:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesús_Owono
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Sivera
He would be taller at 6'3"
There's also the other issue that the MLS season is coming to an end.

Going from Bordeaux to Alavés i doubt he'd be looking at the first team. Even the B. He has one year of u19 eligibility even.
The important thing is to play, if he can do that in the system of a Liga team, that's better than the bench in Montreal.
Edit: the logic of Alavés is that it's just over the border, I imagine they were paying more attention for that reason. Basque teams do tend to draw French players of Basque origin and others in that area.

DigzTFC got a reaction from johnyb in The Importance of Alphonso Davies
I just watched Copa Ameria (Canada Soccer) youtube clips which is must watch.
What stuck out to me was Jesse Marsch took a backseat in the locker room and let Alphonso speak before and after every match. What Phonzie said fired me up so I could imagine that galvanized the team. I'm impressed by Davies more after watching that and convinced he will be a great captain with the support of Stack.
I was even more impressed by Marsch letting people grow and stepping out of the way to accomplish that. I was worried that he would dominate that team. To put it into focus, Marsch after taking Canada on a historic run that may never be matched, he deferred to long time team canada physiotherapist to provide the closing remarks after the Uruguay game.
I was ecstatic by what I saw during the tournament from Marsch but I'm an even bigger fan after seeing that

On Oliveiri:
I absolutely hated how much space was between our lines and we were easily cut up in the midfield. Morgan was done at the 75th minute and I think he asked multiple times for a substitution. Bottomline, he did nothing to do to keep his job. He's been in the job for 6 years and accomplished nothing and has hurt player's careers by not getting them into tournaments where scouts exist. I also assume the appearance fees are available at the World Cup U20 level too so there also being a financial drain on the program. On the Game Between the Players:
Panama were better and Mosquera was a beast and by far the best player on the pitch I have a lot of respect for Panama as they have a population of 4 million and perform like that I wish we would learn from other federations to see what they are doing to improve ourselves Pearlman's distribution was terrible again and he was completely unprofessional with the official. Morgan was great in the air and down the wing but he's going to have a tough time sticking at striker Lopez was great but the fact the he needs to be substituted off is an indictment on his fitness I really appreciated what James Cameron brought and thought he should of rolled around when the Panama player threw an elbow at him. It really is the only way we can balance out the officiating Greco Taylor reminds me Alistair Johnston. Unbelievable grit. Kamani Stewart Baynes needs to find a way to get on the field with Colorado. He was such a non-factor in the game that I'm unclear how he was signed to a generation addidas contract. Badwal was smart to draw some fouls but didn't really do anything of note going forward. Biello didn't really do anything of note except yell at the official. Swiderski was our best player, again, which is an indictment on the team that he has to be. When I saw that Diallo was an Inter Milan youth player, I was excited to see what kid had. I didn't see anything out of him that would suggest a prestigious pedigree. On the Official
Pearlman did himself no favours and Olivieri should have pulled him aside The fact that no card was given to the Panama coach for throwing a water bottle on the field set the stage for a lot of "injustice". I use "injustice" because the referree was not wrong to do anything he did but it was the lack of balance to both teams The Panama elbow to Cameron should have been reviewed by VAR but Cameron got up to quickly to slug the guy. I don't know how many times Greco Taylor was run through but he was the one who recieved the yellow cards. The penalty was a borderline penalty because of the dragging foot and the red card was terrible. That is the worst call in soccer to award and penalty and a red. I do not know why that's even possible within the rules as it awards the game over at that moment. I'm sure there is statistical evidence that would prove that thesis but I'm lazy. Playing down a man for nearly 60 minutes and awarding the penalty broke the game The worst offense the official did was not review the last play and instead of calming the situation down by simply walking over and looking at it. He chose to stick it to us and award a straight red to someone on the bench. If there were fans in the stands it could have got really ugly. The official spent more time wasting then the Panamanians and he allowed for all the Panamanian time wasting. Just really poor amateur quality petty officiating. Both linesmen were in on it too because they had enough talk out of the Canadian players. -

DigzTFC got a reaction from Mattd97 in General Discussion on CMNT
I think Kevin Blue's comments are unbelievably reckless and have overarching legal implications. I've never seen a CEO come out and, without a thorough investigation, implicate his current and former staff and provide additional information than reporters were asking for. It doesn't matter if you say "anecdotal evidence" and then say the evidence. I simply cannot believe it. He's substantiating the evidence by stating it in the press whether it is real or not.
He went on to say that the issue is systemic (that means the whole organization), that this issue proceeded Jesse Marsch, Bev Priestman which only leaves John Herdman. Herdman started in 2011 with the women's team. Drone regulations were only established in the 2010's. "Anecdotally", he just defamed Herdman in the press without a third party investigation or even interviewing him, and then went on to say Priestman was carrying on these practices, and the inherited staff of the men's side were doing it, in at least one instance, during Copa America.
He said Jesse Marsch knew about the Copa America incident "after the fact at a minimum". Just let that sit for a second. No one asked about Copa America. He said it without anyone asking. He also may have implicated himself because if he knew at the time about the Copa America incident and did nothing, other employees may have viewed that as tacit approval that the CSA didn't care. I'm sure there isn't an internal memo that says drone are an unacceptable practice.
Unbelievable, if he ends up firing any of the women's program (which is inevitable) he will have to fire people on the men's side. You cannot have different measuring sticks legally. I am shocked at the level of legal ineptitude on display and lack of media training. The CSA better have a good lawyer to clean up his mess. I'd imagine he feels pretty good about how that went too. You think the CSA is broke now? Wait until they get through the lawyer bills. It doesn't matter if the problem preceded him. The tacit approval of drone usage existed in the organization and these employees would have a legal argument that no one ever corrected their behavior and it was a known practice, the CSA purchased the equipment with the known intent, and hired performance analyst with flying drones as part of the job description, and with that tacit approval, there are no grounds to fire them. Most likely, you've got 3-6 employees your going to have to payout plus lawyer fees.
But hey, what a great guy.
Unreal.....

DigzTFC got a reaction from Unnamed Trialist in General Discussion on CMNT
