  1. I didn't win with $60? Ah damn! Glad it hit the $300....good job everyone involved.
  2. I noticed Kevin Harmse is missing from the Chivas USA list.
  3. The more top players that stay (or come) home, instead of going to Europe, the better MLS becomes. The better MLS becomes, the more competitive players in this league become. The more domestics playing together in MLS, or on any side together, the better their understanding - which can translate directly to the CMNT. Why not make the domestic game better if that's an option? You dont think having De Ro, JDG, Ali-G, Serioux and Nana will benefit Canada's national program? Tell that to the likes of Saprissa and Marathon. Increasing the quality of MLS helps across the board, but like mos
  4. Actually, MLS Academy guidelines have established territorial rights based on their market. It's probably a precursor to joining the league that they've agreed to play by the rules now.
  5. You can sign up to 4 academy players a year from MLS academies. Up to 2 players can have GA deals at any time (2 in 1 year, 1 per year etc...). You can sign the others to either regular DEV deals, or senior deals.
  6. I've not had time to do much with CA lately, but i have been twittering (canucksabroad) when I hear from players with info. Once my Football manager 2010 duties are complete I should have a lot more time to dedicate back to the site. Anyways, Matt Lam wrote to me to let me know he'd signed for Croatian HNL (1st Division) side Croatia Sesvete.
  7. Not before time. It exists most other leagues and is really a minimum expectation now...especially since TFC/MLS showed how easy it was to move games for nice fat $125 a ticket games against Madrid. Sorry, that sounded horribly cynical, but really watching games in the summer during international 'season' has been painful. Who wants to watch (and pay to watch) an MLS' teams reserves....and that's for the games when they actually have enough players to dress 18 guys.
  8. Who are the guys they say are carrying knocks? Did we ever call up Poz or Gbeke? I think Wags starts and if the cards carry over I'd expect to see all three rested.
  9. Personally, I'd play: GK: SUTTON DR: STALTERI DC: MCKENNA DC: JAKOVIC DL: KLUKOWSKI MC: HUTCHISON MC: JOHNSON AMR: NAKAJIMA-FARRAN AMC: DE GUZMAN AML: DE JONG or SIMPSON FC: GERBA
  10. Doesn't Atiba sometimes play on the left for his club?
  11. Actually, RSL has recently changed to a 4-2-3-1 (same formation as this CMNT game from what I can tell). Johnson has been playing alongside Beckerman and playing extremely well. He had a great season last year as the left sided of three very narrow mids but had been off form to start this year. As RSL slumped, Kreis changed formation and Johnson responded.
  12. Whoops....I did that the other day too. That would be the Portsmouth manager. Thanks - edited now.
  13. New content - Cyprus round up and quotes from Sidra. http://canucks-abroad.com/content/sidra-goes-90-cmnt-debut-win-over-cyprus
  14. Seattle offered him a trial, that would have been the best fit in my mind.
