He's scored 10 in his last 15 games. That's a pace of 24 goals over the course of a full season and comparable to last season with Gent

    A completely unbiased opinion....
David, Larin, Cavallini, Dike, Sargeant, Zardes, Jozy.
    Sargeant is overrated.
Dike is nice, but very fresh and unseasoned.
Zardes is dependable but so is Cavallini....
    okay this was completely biased.

I also David could play for any club. His slow start may have hurt his value, but I think he is worth more than what Lille paid, so if they can receive an offer of +35M, they might sell if they are having financial difficulties.
Just to put things in perspective, David is just 21 years old and has scored 9 goals in his last 14 matches for Lille. He also scores against big teams, with goals against Monaco, PSG, Lyon, Rennes and a brace against Marseille.
If I am a big club looking for a forward I definitely would be interested in David.

He's got the potential to be good enough for any top club IMO. I think he would actually produce a lot more for a club like United, an offensive team that can provide actual service to him.

His team FC Ingolstadt are in 2nd place in 3.Bundesliga , automatic promotion spot with 4 games to play. They were very unfortunate last season where they slipped into the playoff spot by an extra time goal, and they loss promotion by from  extra time goal as well. Here's hoping they have better fortunes.

He's had a good season again with 5 goals and 4 assists. Last year he had 3 goals and 5 assists.
Definitely someone I would want to see in a Gold Cup B squad.

Also, James would be a Danish league winner as he played this season for Midtjylland.

A little bit of arrogance for a forward is good IMO. The confidence to take defenders on 1v1, have a go at goal, try new things, etc.

This is the moment where the Gary Bettman attitude towards the international game might come into play.  UEFA/FIFA "threatening" not to let players play internationally may be concerning to the players, but to the owners it's not a threat at all, it's a christmas gift.  A bit like your neighbour "threatening" not to take your car for a joy ride or shag your wife.
There are serious ramifications down the road for the international game if this super league happens.  It could be the end of FIFA/UEFA's "control" over the game.  They would be neutered like FIBA and the IIHF who have no way of governing or controlling the NBA or NHL.  With no way of enforcing player release, what happens to the international game?
In short, this is currently a story about the club game.  But if it happens, the bigger story will become the war over the future of the international game.

I like Buchanan, but Juve? Seriously? Hard to imagine they'd be keen about a 22 year old MLS player who just started getting any serious play time just last season.
PSV, Sporting, or RB Salsburg seem like much more realistic destinations.

I’m not sure how many people are aware of this link: https://issuu.com/canadasoccer/docs/20191231_canada_records_results/2?ff
Every year the CSA updates this document and it has broken down records and information for both the men and women, truly a fantastic source.

Larin's best position isn't as a number 9, Cavallini's is but a hat trick against a national Sunday league team isn't much to write home about and if Vancouver can't get it together his play will suffer, David's best position isn't as a 9 but he's the second best 9 in the region, and Corbeanu isn't a 9 either.
He's our 3rd best 9 and another successful MLS campaign where he gets to double digits will probably put him on par with Cavallini, or close enough that him being 8 years younger makes him more important.
