@admin Again this is Robert's new account. It's actually impressive how you and TGAA can singlehandedly ruin intelligent discussion from hundreds of people and turn this forum into a frustrating place to visit.

As far as I know not a single player from that video made it past u16 at TFC or plays pro. Except Liam. (If anyone knows different please let me know) there were some really quality players there a keeper named Alex. A defender named Jayden A striker who’s name I can’t remember. . Glen M and Shaun Hundal came to TFC a few years later than this video Ryan Raposo wasn’t selected as part of that group. (too small again, Liam and Ryan played together for one season in Burlington U12) The voice on the tape is Rick Titus btw. A great coach from NMSC and TFC. Played a few games for TFC too ... sorry for my limited replies. the twitter post of my response on here has forced me to be selective in what I’ say. I thought this was a closed group didn’t expect to be quoted.... I even msgd the guy on twitter Asking to take down the post and he blanked me and left it up. Will try to add what I can but won’t talk any specifics at all as don’t want it repeated outside of here ....

Lille’s management is pretty competent by all reports. By the way, my deepest condolences on your brother. Losing a close family member is incredibly hard. When I lost my son 2 years ago, it was very hard to get through some days. Take the time you need to be with your family and don’t feel pressured to “get back to normal” because there really isn’t a fixed time. I found it was like waves- some good days, some bad days. Eventually the waves get further and further apart

Since joining Pacos in 2020, he has featured in 11 of the 14 games (starting most of those). He has played in all 3 games since the league resumed and started in both games they've won in June. When signed in the fall, Pacos were in relegation. Currently they sit 7 points above relegation with 7 games remaining. 5 teams ahead of them within 2 points as well.

Even if Hutchinson doesn't play another match for Canada ever again, I just want to say that if he signs a contract extension and plays another year for Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig, that will be a massive accomplishment at his age. Most North American players do not have the talent, opportunity or privilage to ever play a single game for such a strong club, so to be doing it at his age for as long as be has, that is so incredible, so I want to put that out there! I think that would be his 8th season next year and he has been a starter and important player during his entire tenure with Besiktas. Big up Atiba!

Most do retire. Everybody is different; every body is different. You play it month by month, year by year. Atiba is selfless enough to help the #CanMNT even if he knows he is unlikely to play in Qatar. 6 more caps and he becomes our most-capped #CanMNT player; that would be an honour and legacy fitting for him.

He does hold the record for most Europa league games by a concacaf player (70 games). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Cup_and_Europa_League_records_and_statistics#By_player He is 13th all time and no player outside of Europe has played more. So actually we can say he holds the title of most europa league games played by a non-European. That is a massive accomplishment.

    Stefan Mitrovic

There was an article in the Serbian sports newspaper Sportski žurnal today that featured an interview with Mitrovic. There was a section where he spoke of his national team future: - Something happened that I secretly expected and hoped for, but I was still very surprised - I received an invitation from Canada to play in the youth national team, whose passport I normally have. It is a selection up to 20 years. Here, in Serbia, the procedure is underway to get a passport from the country of my parents and in which I was born. The invitation came as a crown for my previous games in the younger club selections and lately for seniors. I am thrilled, and it will be an incentive for me to work even harder and play even better, said a smiling Stefan Mitrović. (http://zurnal.rs/fudbal/super-liga/98350/i-kanadjani-culi-za-nis, Google Translate) So it would appear that he was called up to our U20 national team for the CONCACAF U20 Championships that were supposed to be this month. Hopefully he keeps up this good form and will be a part of our U20 team when the tournament is eventually played!

Look, I don't want to pile on you because I do genuinely think you mean well, but please think about what you are posting. You don't need to post every single thought that comes into your mind. A number of times I have typed out a post and refrained from posting it because after review it was unhelpful, distracting, or rude. Frankly put, I have no idea what the purpose of your above post is. You list four major cities that a "superstar" may come out of, providing zero analysis as to why you may think it is one of those cities. It is a post for the sake of a post. I urge you to use some discretion when posting because it is frustrating to see 15 new posts in this forum, only to realize that most of them are useless, stream of consciousness comments that often derail the thread.

The highlights are available to see. USA Goal #1: Failed offside trap on a corner and his man was free behind him. Part of what makes him risky on the backline is because he is a risky player by nature and he will expect Vitoria/Cornelius/Henry to play like Alaba and Boateng. That's a tall ask. USA Goal #2: Long cross comes in from his man who has beaten him. Sets up the goal. USA Goal #3: Set piece and the scorer was between him and Henry I believe. USA Goal #4: Cross comes in after a long ball over Davies, sets up the goal. Even the third Haiti goal is a ball played in behind him because he's starting to cheat forward. I love the kid, but he tries to do too much for Canada. Take the reins off him and let him run. He's good enough that he'll help out defensively as well. (goddamn, I hated revisiting those highlights)

Klagenfurt has won their last 3 games. Next game on Friday in Lustenau. Here's the latest from their website (translation): Kennedy passes his ordeal For a moment, Scott Kennedy hid all the hustle and bustle around him. While his colleagues were analyzing the appearance against Lafnitz (2-1) and discussing individual game scenes, he crouched on the massage bench and looked into the void. No question, it was a special game for the defender, a test of fire - and he had passed it. Kennedy had to wait more than a year to be in a competitive game in the starting eleven of Austria Klagenfurt. Most recently, this was the case on June 1, 2019, at the end of the season against FC Liefering (1-1). The German-Canadian was always part of the squad in the last series, he was 29 times from the start, only once did the 23-year-old sit on the bench. Kennedy was also scheduled for Robert Micheu's current season, but the coach had to rethink early. Because the defense man was already tormented with groin problems in preparation. Again and again he made a new attempt, he was thrown back again and again. A vicious circle. Micheu used to send Kennedy on a winter vacation earlier, spending the Christmas days with family and friends in Calgary, toiling for his comeback. Back in Waidmannsdorf, the 1.90 meter ridge went back in full and was there for test games before he injured himself again at the end of the training camp in Turkey in early February. Kennedy threatened the season off. "When you see how things have developed, you have to say that the Corona break even helped us," says Micheu. On the one hand, the two draws against Ried (1: 1) and Dornbirn (1: 1) and the defeat in Liefering (1: 3) were difficult for the year, said the coach: "On the other hand, players who recovered had physical problems. Scott is one of them. ” Kennedy used the forced break to get in shape. At the restart against Kapfenberg (3: 2) and at Blau-Weiß Linz (2: 1), he drew attention to himself with short missions, for the duel with Lafnitz Micheu promoted the defender for the first time in more than twelve months. "I was very happy with him. Scott has shown that his speed and tackle is very important for our team, ”emphasizes the Austria coach. In the ascent race, Kennedy could become a trump card for the violets, and on Friday (8:25 p.m.) the performance at Austria Lustenau continues. Kennedy will be there, but knows that he has to deliver: “We have a big and strong squad, nobody can rest there. I'm just happy to be fit again and to be on the pitch with the other guys. We are in a very challenging phase of the season. Now everyone matters. "

    Atiba Hutchinson

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/sports/sports-features/271330-russia-2018-seven-oldest-players-going-to-world-cup.html Tim Cahill was 38 at the 2018 WC in Russia. Raphael Marquez was 39 at the 2018 WC in Russia. If these guys can do it why not Hutchinson? By the way, Garath Wheeler asked Hoilett if he thinks Hutchinson will stick around and Junior said, with a little chuckle, something along the lines of: "He really enjoys coming in and playing with the young guys, I think he'll want to come back".

He came on in the 55th minute (with the score 0-0) after one of the starting CB's got a red. He played well, picked up a yellow and even had a good chance to score which he narrowly missed by heading the ball over the net on a corner kick. The game ended with the same 0-0 score. Job well done.

Henry is in the lineup for Herdman without a doubt. He took him during a window when he was suspended and going to miss a game cause of his leadership. Herdman will be starting Doneil in every meaningful game going forward until someone leaps over him in the Siz’s eyes. Let’s hope Ferreira stays healthy and plays regularly. That would end Vitoria’s run in the team (and I rate him) but he is too slow to play against the faster forwards.

On all the highlights of his games that I have seen, other than his solid tackling, he has the ability to quickly move the ball under pressure with accurate short and long passing. He is very good with the ball at his feet and positioning his body to win the ball. A very different player to Piette. He is going to supercharge our transition game on the counter.

I love Piette.... But Eustaquio is on a whole different level. He is someone we should all be excited about. Hard worker, strong technically, great tackler, quick decision making and passing, and a hell of a first touch. I can easily see guys like David and Davies playing off him.

Bayern would be a dream. Having the Double D’s able to work on their chemistry at a club level would be immense for the Nats. Sure David would have to earn his spot. And maybe he wouldn’t walk into the first team right away. Buy he has crazy talent, the perfect attitude, and apparently a golden cock. Just think of the great soundbites Muller would produce.

It all depends on the opponent and tactics. To have Davies up front against a team that is bunkering, while we have most of the possession, is a waste. I think if we play a team that we should dominate them in the midfield, he should be at LB or LWB. If we play a superior team that will out possess us, he should be up top (winger or striker) to hit them on the counter.

But its very indicative of the average sports fan in Canada. Personally, I think its a small victory that it got as much airtime as it did. The more he is talked about in non-soccer circles (as ignorant as those conversations are), the better it is for Canadian soccer as a whole. It would just be nice if there was someone there that could bring up names like Hutchinson or De Guzman (the Canadian one, not the Dutch one) or Radzinski when they start talking about the best player ever. Or mention David and Millar as other up and comers.

This thread is overzealous. Ayo is not worthy of CMNT call-up, nor is he close to the quality we have at U-23 level. He hasn't done much to impress me to have these conversations of "will he or won't he" .
