Jahn hasn't yet posted the game highlights or the game, so I don't have much to add. Scott did send me a note. He was disappointed to leave the game but he said he'll be fine ... nothing serious. Nice to see him in the starting line up!

As many of you know and have already mentioned, Jamie (@admin) has worked diligently, at much personal cost, to bring the Voyageurs to where they are now. Feeling that it was time for our loose knit group to take next logical step he approached a group of us who know and trust each other about formalizing the Voyageurs as an entity. We’ve been meeting regularly and are trying to lay the foundation for the future by making sure all legal requirements are

  6. According to his Instagram, he has joined SEG Football. His new agent is Heraldo Amado. SEG Football has a strong connection with Dutch players & the Eredivisie. Some of the former and current clients include Robin Van Persie, Mempis Depay, Marten De Roon, Kasper Dolberg, Daley Blind, Quincy Promes, Santiago Arias and Jasper Cillessen to name a few. Not sure exactly what this means, but the fact he is joining a new agency/agent, along with the departure of a head coach, his recent performances and rise in market value and lastly given his age, now might be the time he moves

Why does James get shit on on this site so much? I don't get it. How many other Canadians are getting starts in the Champions League? And people implying James is "no better no worse" than a CPL player (Zator) and marginal MLS CBs (Cornelius, Jakovic) is absolutely crazy to me. If Zator, Cornelius and Jakovic are just as good as James why aren't they starting against Atalanta in the Champion's League?

    RIP Tony Waiters

I was so fortunate to do a lot of coaching training with him in Burnaby, and loved picking his brain for a practice idea or for a story from the good old days. Although I was a complete stranger to him, he always greeted me (and everyone, it seems) as if we were old friends. My very first jamboree for my first child's first year of soccer, my five-year-old son had accidentally knocked over a cone with a pass. As he bent over to pick it up with his hands, out of seemingly nowhere was this tall and lanky moustached gentleman to say, "Now hang on a minute there, son, why don't you put that c

  21. Dear friends, the possibility of playing here vs Canada in January still stands, this time a well-known local sports journalist Ricardo Icaza referred it today in a tweet. According to him, Panama would use players from the local league to test them before the qualifiers and it would be two games ... I wonder what players Canada would bring.

In Galtier's post game presser he was asked about the play of Yazici. After the expected platitudes about Yacici's play, Galtier's added the following: He has a strong relationship with Jonathan (David), they had been together in Milan. Tonight, they were very good defensively, they were very precise in their placement. I found them very complementary. it's good for a coach that a relationship is created between two players

  23. I have no idea; they would need to really mess around with the schedule in the Fall of 2021. Clubs would hate it. With a second wave of COVID hitting Canada and Europe FIFA will need to think very creatively. Anything can happen at this point. ---------- Part of me loves the irony of Qatar, a country of fewer than 3 million people, where over 85% of the population are foreigners, building a bunch of mega-stadiums in the desert for a 1 month tournament...and now people won't be able to visit and sit in them. White elephants of massive proportions. On the other hand, if the

I don't think I've ever seen this board analyse the team of a CNT member as much as this, it is actually quite fascinating. I never looked at Radzinski's Anderlecht this way. Maybe some here really knew Stalteri's Spurs. Bayern is different because with the premium teams you tend to know a lot of the line-up anyways, often before a Canuck gets there. Or maybe we understand with David we have something special. BTW, realized today that Barça paid 30 million euros for Trincao, the Portuguese striker, who is as young as David (month older), and he has not scored yet. And no one is rea

Also how amazing is our depth at center mid right now. Hutchinson is still playing amazing. Eustaquio is finally healthy and playing incredible. Arfield is on pace for another exceptional year. Osorio had his best overall season this year (statistcally 2018 will be tough to ever match). Kaye and Piette were still very good this year. We've also seen some young central midfielders emerge in Baldisimo, Okello & Priso.

TFC Academy seems to be doing a great job, and kudos to TFC for giving so many young lads an opportunity with the first team. As you know, this is just a soccer supporters forum on the internet. It is fun to discuss all things about Canadian soccer, even potential players. I am not sure why you are so annoyed about this particular thread. If players from the CPL are being called up to the national team (which is great), there was no harm talking about a Canadian born player playing in Bulgaria. Again, it should be fun to talk about all things related to Canadian soccer. Isn't that the point?
