    Cyle Larin

Larin now 23rd all-time on the Besiktas scoring charts (all comps I believe). One behind Yilmaz of all people.

  2. Yea not me. Our team is the one to be feared. They haven't added any world class players, or champions from top leagues. No top scorers in the eredivise. If we are getting worried about Surname, than we have no place in the Octo - they will be our meat and drink next month.

  9. After feeling pretty worried about the Suriname game, I am now feeling more optimistic so this post resonates with me. Regardless of whoever they are bringing in, chemistry will be an issue for them. I am thinking we take it 2-0 or 3-1, something like that. I expect a competitive match were we come out on top. Hopefully Bermuda can do us a favor too. They never had Wells in last window and they beat Aruba 5-0, just one goal less than Suriname did, indicating both of these teams may be closer to each other than to us. Suriname only beat Cayman by 3 goals and were at home, while we smashed

  11. Nobody is denying that. We are still the better team on paper. We are still the better ranked team. We have shown we are the better team on the field. It's been mentioned in the Jamaican thread, about all their incoming players/ and not having chemistry. Same can be said here, but worst. All of our guys have had a few years of playing with each other, and knowing the coaches "system". It's not arrogance or ignorance. We just need to eliminate the defeatist mentality. Same thing OZ was trying to mention. Call me overconfident, but I see a convincing win happening. As

I can't think of one person on here that didn't say the exact same thing about his showing at the Olympic qualifiers. The guy just didn't show up. In shape or not, the effort and drive just wasn't there. He was literally picking flowers out there.

I mean there is hype around almost every young Canadian around these parts. ive watched him for two years with Vancouver and he’s never struck me as anything other than a rotational MLS piece at best. I don’t think he was surprisingly bad at Olympic qualifying or anything

  17. Honestly, I don’t know why he wouldn’t. Now, it may hurt like hell to play at that level that often, but his performance doesn’t suggest any deterioration of ability whatsoever. Hell, he is having an amazing year for them. The club would be crazy not to keep giving him one year contracts as long as he can maintain this level of performance.

I still feel the strength to be on the field and to fight." https://www.sporx.com/futbol/ekstra/atiba-hutchinson-a-galatasaray-sorusuSXGLQ52117SXQ ---- A reminder that their next match on Saturday vs Galatasaray is massive. If they draw or win they would be guaranteed to be in the top 2 (Champions League qualifiers) as the first tie break is head-to-head. If they win their match and Fenerbahçe draw or

  21. Yea I’m not concerned with “losing him” with him Borjan mostly likely done after 2022. So he’ll mostly likely be a number 2, and be a real contender for the number 1 spot. You don’t switch nations when you are consistently in the roster. I found this funny, because I keep saying - guys who are Canadian do not switch to their Caribbean nation if they are in the CMNT squad. Skylar Thomas should be playing with T&T...

I'm sure he is. But generally, that kind of motivation only works short term. If he doesn't find a way to become a bit more self motivated, there's kids now coming up behind him who likely are, and his talent level isn't high enough to prevent the Whitecaps from cutting him.

That was a good one. Yes, you could clearly see the chemistry between them. Both guys are clever on the ball and can maintain possession even when you don't expect them to, Eden Hazard like. I cursed the two times he was open just outside the 18 and one guy failed to keep his head to get it to him and second time when Raposo decided not to dish it off to him but instead opted to cross it into no man's land.

I think Dos Santos is purposely making these comments in order to motivate Bair. I've been a big supporter of Bair but I've observed that he needs to enhance his competitive drive. A few years ago he was called out and he had a good run of games. Dos Santos likely figures if he needs to get under his skin and play the bad guy in order to light a fire then so be it

A tiny sample, but the sequence where he shielded the ball and dribbled out of pressure to play the pass into Gaspar is something that he does so well. Finds solutions. Those who have watched him will know he's special on the ball, different to what we have in the national pools.

    Dayne St. Clair

Thomas Nef brought this up on Northern Futbol and I don't think it can be fully dismissed but the CSA and Herdman should understand St. Clair's situation. If he ends up feeling like he's 3rd choice (or even 2nd when Borjan leaves the program in a few years) and Trinidad and Tobago come calling offering him the #1 shirt he could end up switching. Something to consider.

While I quoted @SpursFlu, the 'you' referred to in my comment was a general 'you', not a specific reference to @SpursFlu. That being said, I'm currently on warning from @JamboAl for calling a certain annoying poster here a knobhead. Funnily enough, the comment for which I was warned seemed to get a lot of positive feedback from the community. 😄

    New Canadians abroad

I live in the Czech Republic and have watched a few club matches. I am aware of the level. The league and national team have improved over the years but support for women's football is very low here. At least Slavia and Sparta have raised the awareness level of women's football with their respective runs in the Champions League.

The science all points to one conclusions. I am not in a position to conduct my own experiments. Where else am I to go to get the proper science? To assume that all of the experts are just being biased/bought and paid for is conspiracy, and is showing that you don’t trust the science that is being done. Literally against the science. So why are we arguing that nobody is against science? Again, there is literally no non-conspiratorial side to this that says the vaccine is worse than the virus. Trusting peer reviewed research is not in the same realm as trusting some conspiracy t

I piped up earlier because another commenter called DeLeon a prick and I now understand why. I suspect none of us on this forum are well versed in the intricacies of mRNA vaccines. Your support of "science" is trust (or faith if you want call it) based, likely not a product of deep understanding. Whatever hesitancy he has there's likely a lack of trust. That lack of trust may be well founded or not, I don't know the man and neither do any of you. If the goal is bring him to your side using the descriptors I saw (prick, stupid, dangerous) that is not a great way to do that. That said I su
