  1. Hey folks. Here is the short survey that @BuzzAndSting mentioned above. There will be more going on over the Winter and Spring ... this is hopefully just a start. Please pass these on to anyone who you think might be interested. There are English and French versions. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbQcX02OqPJZ2EvFp9RB3J6ZE77126k1DRdyyg_AZ2bElvAw/viewform?usp=sf_link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvTXCjKjNYRsNURoiVyTH6Q6BIALgD3a6-ELQZhYpFycd8mw/viewform?usp=sf_link

Thats for sure. Thats why it drives me crazy when guys dismiss us advocating for CDN youngsters getting some minutes. Who knows how Quillan Roberts would have turned out if he got a start with TFC instead of Bono when they were both benchwarmers. Or Montgomery, DIdic, Pasher etc etc...guys that just couldnt/havnt quite cught a break and nobody wants to take a chance on them. So nice to see StClair, Buchanon and Johnston really make the most of their chances this year.

Scottish Premier League Wotherspoon just came on (61') for St Johnstone away to Hibernian Scored in 76' to put his team up 1-2. 2-2 full time.

He's getting the loyalty discount. I really think Atiba loves life in Istanbul and even though he doesn't speak much Turkish, his kids do. I don't think he's hurting for money and chances are, he'll retire at the club.

  14. 1. My point: Davies was being talked about as being one of the best players in his position - he played at LB for the entire season. Maybe he should get bonus points for being so dominant at a new position. 2. Haaland: 10 goals, in 8 UCL games (Salzburg and BD) 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga games (half season BD). That’s already world class. Fati, 8 goals total in 29 games. Those two weren’t even close last year. 3. Bayern > Barca last year. And it was the worst Barca team in some time, so easier for Fati to get into the team. It seemed like you were trying to make the argument that he should gain bonus points for playing with Barca. Dude, I’m not saying that Fati does not project to be one of the world’s best, just that on what actually played out last season, Davies’s accomplishments surpassed Fati’s.

  17. I appreciate the questions and I hope I can answer all of them however not everything is finalized so I may not have all the information. As many of you know and have already mentioned, Jamie (@admin) has worked diligently, at much personal cost, to bring the Voyageurs to where they are now. Feeling that it was time for our loose knit group to take next logical step he approached a group of us who know and trust each other about formalizing the Voyageurs as an entity. We’ve been meeting regularly and are trying to lay the foundation for the future by making sure all legal requirements are up to date and some basics around roles and responsibilities are established with the goal of running an election for an inaugural Board of Directors in the near future. We’re at the point now where we’re almost ready to share our work with the broader group here and we’re planning on distributing a survey to garner feedback about what the organization should look like and where it should be headed. We’re also planning to host an online event in the near future where we will announce plans and answer questions. We all have full time jobs and families so we're moving slowly but we'll get there. As for the moderation of this site, myself and @JamboAl where made admins recently. I don't know the other admins or whether they still visit this site. I know Jamie has been quite busy these days and so I offered to take on the responsibility. I don't suspect @JamboAl will have much time to dedicate as I know he's quite busy himself. I also have a lot going on in my life so I'll try to answer all questions in do time. Hope that helps.

I was literally wondering what happened. Wheeldon did say he has lots of options, im guessing he’s doing the tour of the most appealing ones and he’ll go from there. A young man from Canada did this a few years ago, he was actually cut by Red Bill Leipzig if my facts are right. He eventually wound up at club called KAA Gent....

If a keeper reads the game well they don't need to make flashy saves. I always though a keeper who makes too many flashy saves is a keeper who's out of position too often. What's impressive about Dayne is that he makes a lot of crucial saves, and seems to be good on 1v1s. He also knows when he has to come off his line in order to avoid a 1v1 deep in the box, and when it happens he looks very confident doing so

  33. Laryea will be matched up against Costa Rican international Randall Leal. This guy is a stud and relied on a lot creatively for this solid Nashville team. Really looking forward to that 1v1 match up. EDIT: Leal played the entire half on the opposite side of Laryea and got zero of the ball. I think they want Muyl to do the defensive work against Laryea.

I think (hope) we're going to see a very much more normal summer/fall 2021. Graduating fans back into the stands as the season gets on. It's going to feel weird but it's going to happen if the vaccinations make their way into the general public sooner rather than later. And there's the tough part for the league planners, how soon will vaccinations become available and how widespread will they be accepted? BTW, Wanderers supporters have to be the 2nd happiest people in CanPLdom if this Quebec news proves true.

  38. Judging by Twitter and Instagram it looks like Forge is staying at Barcelo Bavarro Palace in Punta Cana. A 5 star all inclusive resort. They also have a soccer field at the resort which they appear to be training on every day. Not a bad place to be end of November/December. I wonder who pays for this? At close to 1500/person it would be $50000+ for the whole team to be down there. http://www.resortsmaps.com/map-BarceloBavaroPalace-PuntaCana.html

  41. It seems like you are twisting his argument because you don't agree with it. 1. Davies is "one of the best in the world" at his position: You cannot take that away by suggesting LB is not really his position, but even if you did wouldn't that prove his point? Best in the world at LB, even though he was playing "out of position"... 2. Ansu making Bayern: You don't even comment on whether or not he would, so you are not so much twisting his point here, you are deflecting away from it. 3. On Ansu not projecting to be the best striker in the world: He is not saying he does not deserve votes because of this. In fact, he is not even talking about how Fati projects into the future, you are. 4. On Bayern trouncing Barca: His point is simple, Davies plays for a better team. This shouldn't be up for debate. Bayern just won the treble and Barca sit 11th in La Liga and lost to Bayern 8-1 a few months ago. This was not an attack on Fati whatsoever, nor was it putting blame on him for the loss. Not personally trying to attacking you, I just really don't like when someone twists someone else's argument because they don't want to hear it/ can't accept it/ disagree with it. For the record, I think he's a bit lucky to finish that high, but whatever. I don't particularly care because nobody remembers second or third, only first, and I think it is hard to argue with Halaand winning this.

I appreciate that this is a side hustle (that doesn’t pay) so finding the time is always a challenge. From the sounds of things, there is an appetite among “the membership” to be involved.
