    The Road to Qatar.

I think Canada will benefit from being a football power in CONCACAF because of the CPL helping Canada becoming a football power in CONCACAF from its creation. I think the expansion to 48 teams in 2026 will help though because even though I think Canada won't be football power by then I think the CPL could help it be a football power in CONCACAF by 2026 which is the year the World Cup with 48 teams happens. It would be interesting if the CPL helps create interest from countries who would maybe play us in friendlies like Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, England even, Portugal, Uruguay, Croatia, Belgium, etc I could go on and on but maybe the CPL could help Canada to even think of or to even try to penetrate a France backline of Varane (Real Madrid )and Umtiti (Barcelona) in Qatar 2022 if the CPL helps us become a football power in CONCACAF

The idea of the CPL is to develop Canadian talent , who knows maybe there is a youngster playing in Canadian University who might be a late bloomer that's were the CPL comes in , I wish more Canadian Youngsters who are at MLS Acadimies will transfer to the CPL just to get that professional playing experience

Canada can beat any team with Nike as their jersey sponsor, even Netherlands who have had Nike as their sponsor for a while so the power of the Nike jersey is wearing off but has recently got the Nike jersey so I think they would win in the end, but what about Ghana their sponsor is Puma so it would be interesting if they played a friendly tournament before Qatar, but I think it would be 1. Canada 2. Netherlands 3. Ghana.

Canada is going up because they have confident but Netherlands is going down even with players at big clubs but what do you think the score would be? I think for Canada they will score more goals with Davies at AM which is his best position, but David will score too from LS because if he moved to Lyon for playing time he will get more minutes and Depay would move to the bench, which is Netherlands biggest threat because of his consistence at Lyon and Manchester United, but let`s say they play I still think Canada wins because players like Jonathan David are become more total football and Netherlands is not really total football anymore.

I think it's not a trickle of talent I think we'll see an explosion of Canadian talent. It might include women but Canada has the 6th most registered soccer players on the planet. I believe us to be a pretty athletic lot. So if you now finally mix in professional soccer I think we won't need much international talent to raise the level of play in CPL. I think we'll do it organically

Valour FC Season Thread 2020 2.0

Yeah, the merch is really hard to guess. Was really popular. We dropped at least $600 last season. This year would have been just as bad but there are a lot of people in the grandstands who aren't wearing trackies or the team kit. They have the inaugral season scarf and maybe a tee, that's it. $40 does not $150 make. Just a hunch but I suspect the margins on the Macron stuff is crazy good. The fact almost every other team in the league was giving their shirts away kind of has me suspicious part of the sponsorship deal with Macron includes very favourable wholesale pricing to the league and the clubs. That and I have it on good authority the Bombers brass were gob-smacked with the Macron deal. LOL. I used 4,400 for my arithmatic but as it wasn't a very scientific exercise I'm not too concerned. Just having some fun. Regardless, match day revenue accounts for least 2/3 of income. Doubt very many people would be surprised by that.

The testing has proven to be highly inaccurate and the odds of you being tested during the 21days you had or will have the virus is pretty unlikely. They're best to get the tests right and stockpile and get ready for the next flu season I guess September October

The lack of rapid test in Canada at this point is absurd. I’m not sure who it reflects badly on though, Canadian industry, the Canadian government or both. The call for applications was made in mid-April and so far only one company is close.

No way, considering the Netherlands current team, Canada would destroy them easily. Canada has way more talent across the board. When Canada gets to Qatar they'll definitely be able to beat the big teams, especially the teams that have quality but at worst Canada would get a draw, no doubt about it.

CPL is to raise the level of Canadian soccer, not other countries. Strict limit on foreign players to ensure only skilled players are signed from abroad and eventually increase the Canadian content as development permits.

    OneSoccer

I feel bad not supporting. Like Kent I just did month to month until November last year. Unlike the aforementioned honourable gent, I didn't come back though. i was planning on renewing and getting a years subscription for the womens but they aired highlights for free the next day and I was busy with work so decided to put it off until the mens Olympic qualifiers. Then wham. Like Blackdude, for me its hard to justify another expense right now, especially when there is no new content. I'd cancel Dazn if I didn't pay the year. Next to nothing there which is disappointing. I hope they extend/honor subscriptions until the end of the season. The smart thing for both would be to stack some old content on there and drop the price to entice new subscribers but I understand them not wanting to lose more money than necessary. Also surprised the OneSoccer content isn't on the subscription site. They have done some really excellent stuff as mentioned and weird its going to non-subscribers for free and subscribers aren't getting rewarded.

    The Importance of Alphonso Davies

Well done Sportsnet. Showing every single game

The reason this exercise is so silly is because the only "locks" you have are Davies and David, and honestly who knows even then. You could chop and change the other nine guys from my line up and I wouldn't argue.

Carducci -------Zator-Romero-Cornelius ZBG-Kaye-Fraser-Osorio-Davies -----------David-Campbell I wouldnt be surprised if Jayden Nelson or Rutty are sure fire starters by then and I would switch to a 4-3-3 if they emerge. I think a 3-5-2 is the best system with Davies so I am going with that.

My backline would consist of Robert Neukr TGAA_Star That's right, I'm going with 3 at the back in 2026

How about you tell the over 3,000 families in the UK who lost members in the age range of 15-65. Did they have nothing to worry about?
