I would say only really disappointing if you use David as your measuring stick, which is a nice measuring stick to have. I have liked what I have seen from him attitude-wise in getting his career back on track. David and Davies have been nothing but miraculous for us in the last year, but having Larin playing and contributing in decent league is certainly something the national team can use.9 points -

"We have a multi-year option on his contract and he is another player where we benefited from the league’s support with their international recruitment program in conjunction with the 21st Club" This 21st Club has really helped the league increase the quality of the international players coming in. Last year Adjei, Murofushi and Gattas were brought in and Murofushi. This year the internationals seem to be of a higher pedigree and they are younger and may not have reached their peak yet.5 points -

That is one my worries, see below Moraes is exactly not what I would not want to happen to David. Wesley (what we knew/know Moraes as here) did not develop much so far, that I could tell. He was a big, physical forward (which David is not) , that did okay initially (did well against Na'arch but even my team did that) before going almost 3 months without a goal, scoring one and then getting seriously injured. Another example from the same area of the table, though at a different position (hard to directly compare stats) is Pablo Fornals. Still rated slightly higher than David5 points -

Aston Villa paid Genk a fee of 22 million Euro for Moraes a 22 year old Brazilian forward that had 17 Goals in 48 Matches and 13 in 44 the year before. This winter window they also paid 8.5 million Euro to Genk again for a 27 year old attacker that has 10 goals in 28 matches, 32 in 51 year before. David is at 22 goals in 37 matches, already surpassing Moraes production. Granted there are of course some non goal scoring aspects to consider but the sort of baseline from Belgium would have David given his age and production at minimum 35 million Euro. Another consideration is he has onl3 points -

Depends on how you measure it. He has had a new lease on life based on game time. However, if you base it on goals per game then obviously not, as you have demonstrated. He is a striker so that is concerning. I wonder though, what do his assists per game look like? Would like to see that statistic. That's the thing about stats, you can use them to push whatever narrative you like. They are useful in that way. For me the jury is still out on Larin. I am happy he is playing more and he's clearly been doing more playmaking, but I want to see him scoring more. There is still time left in2 points

f they go 4 teams, I'd want to see a Page Playoff system they do for our national curling championships. Team in 1st would get 2 home games too, so it rewards the team winning the league. And if you finish 3rd or 4th, you need to win 3 straight games.2 points

3 out of 8 teams (37.5%) of the league makes the playoffs. I'd be fine keeping it at that number of teams until the league gets to 12 teams, then I'd add a fourth team to the playoffs to keep the ratio at 33.3%. I think it's a fine balance between having too many playoff teams that the regular season becomes meaningless, and too few playoff teams where the season soon becomes meaningless for most of the clubs.2 points -

I will repeat what I have said a few times: Canada would be in far better shape right now if we had simply don’t the job against Haiti in the Gold Cup. We were up 2-0 against a lower ranked team. If we had just finished them off, we would have gained valuable points and had an extra SF game to earn even more. If we had just done what we were supposed to do (and were entirely capable of doing), we would be in great shape to qualify for the hex for the first time in decades, and everyone would be thanking Victor for a format that would have basically delivered us into the hex. This. I hope we stick to this rather than the early MLS DP over the hill club. It's a different strategy. Eyes on the league and clubs that name signings bring is good but the potentially sell on value of some of these u23 players, foreign or not, is much better imo. I'd much rather we were a where stars are born opposed to a where stars come to die league. Obviously presumptuous on both of those things ever happening but I'm ok with the former strategy as it will help build the resources for our clubs and future Canadian talent to grow and thrive.2 points -

I don't think we should move on from Will Johnson for ideological reasons (such as "play your kids"). If he is still good enough, he deserves a place. If he is not then he does not deserve a place. Either way he must fight for his spot like everyone else. Same can be said for any of our players, not just Will. If there is a pragmatic reason to go young for a particular camp then so be it. I personally get excited when we invest in the future. However, to say no WJ because that's Rusty's spot? I don't agree with that, or at least I would add the caveat "it's Rusty's spot for now". Two wins against T&T would give us ~7.5 points Panama play both Nicaragua and Guatemala outside of the FIFA window first, so their ranking will change but if we stick to the: +4.6 -0.4 -5.4 line for El Salvador vs Panama and if we are about ~14.2 points behind now, then, Best case scenario: We beat T&T twice and Panama beat El Salvador - The gap shrinks from ~14.2 to ~1.3 2nd/3rd best case scenario: We beat T&T twice and Panama draw El Salvador - The gap shrinks from ~14.2 to ~6.3 We beat T&T in one game but draw the other and Panama beat El Salvador - Th2 points -

It's a great move to take on Friday nights. The guys in charge of this club aren't afraid to make changes for the betterment of the club. Going all in on Fridays is a big deal too. They aren't just having a game here and there but everyone knowing that Friday nights the game is on is a big deal. I'm with @Kent 7 years ago, anytime any place. Now with kids it's a different ball game, weekends are packed with all kinds of sports, functions, etc, Friday evenings are usually open. Kickoff times are not so late that I wouldn't be able to bring my boy to the games. Another thing about Fr1 point
