I'm just thankful for a 24/7 channel/app dedicated to the CPL. OneSoccer wants to succeed just as much as we want the CPL to succeed, I promise they want the flaws fixed as quick as you do. They're on our team, we need to have a little patience with our teammate.

The man is going above and beyond to promote CPL at Sportsnet while TSN are silent and French media minus CBC French are feeding us ******** excuses for not covering the league We must follow John Molinaro on Twitter, like his CPL tweets, Retweet them and comment + thanking him If his articles and tweets gets low hits, that's bad

Right?!! Why can't I watch the highlights of that game already? Isn't the whole point of "on demand" to be on demand?!? Just because the WPG v EDM game is still on is no excuse to not see the highlights from the earlier game IMO.

One final note from the game, if the Wanderers had kept a clean sheet, the fans would have had free taters from Mary Brown's Fried Chicken...LOL!!

They weren't always placed on the track on the non grandstand side, that was a later era Whitecaps thing. And yes I watched everything from the Southside which made everything better. Still more preferable than watching games at BC Place in my opinion

    Marcus Godinho

Based on current form and playing time I think ZBG is the is the clear favourite if he wasn't already before. If Laryea & Cordova continue to play and start games in the next month, I would expect them to make a 40 man provisional roster if not give Godinho a crack at a back up role.

    Marcus Godinho

He played in at least one reserve match in that period and was listed in +-20 player provisional squads for first team match days..also they have a large number of outside backs currently available so doesnt have anything to do with recovery

Mostly because the stands were placed on the track, which could be done again assuming 🐻 stadiums have a retractable option. If not, I'm sure someone else can figure it out. Or just use the old system the USL Caps had in place.

We’re far deeper now than 5 years ago. A player getting a couple cameo’s in MLS isn’t going to get on the Gold Cup 40 man roster anymore.

Swangard was a great place to watch the 86ers and non MLS Whitecaps. More enjoyable than watching the MLS Whitecaps at BC Place without a track.

Agreed. I cant think of a worse way to watch football than to be miles from the pitch because of a track. I've heard Swangard Stadium might be used for a lower mainland team. If that is the case, I don't think I will be buying seasons tickets
  29. 1 point
Cavalry tickets prices are way too high. I predict that team fails in a hurry if they don't fix it.

Simeon Jackson went 90 in a 1-1 draw. Millar went 81 in a late 1-0 win. Zanatta went 89 in a 1-1 draw. Paton came on in the 30th in a 3-2 loss. Trafford went 65 in a 1-0 win. Aird stayed on the bench.

I don’t want to badmouth the Fury too much. Let’s not poison the well in case they join CPL next season. They would still be a great addition to the league as an 8th team. The Ottawa market is important.

Millar subbed out in minute 81 in a scoreless match at Tynecastle, apparently he made some nice runs at the defence!

    Bobby must go

As I see it, he has to go for other reasons. The results on the pitch are very poor, and the play is poor as well. He reached his incompetence level years ago, and has not grown into the position nor shown any positive evolution. He screwed up on the Camilo case, he allowed Robinson to sign players that apparently a family member was making money off, and he has not shown any capacity to envision attractive football for the fans. He has undone the youth system, leaving us with a residency which goes nowhere. Lenarduzzi has no experience in this position apart from being at the Whitecaps eternally. At the USL level you could say he was a good fit. At MLS, he has been over his head from day one, he is just coasting in a sort of pre-retirement mode. With him, the owners and the FO are disengaged, and the product on the field is at the low end of the league--when the fans are smart enough to be able to enjoy a much better product. We are sold an unnecessarily inferior football. The failures of ten years ago, part of an overall internal inertia on the team and general insensitivity to such questions even such a short time ago; or the errors of signing the English coach chastised by their FA for racism, are more problems related to the club's rotten internal culture, and he is partially but not soley responsible for those things. As I see it, put it all together, and do yourself a favour Whitecaps: hire a competent club president with a vision for winning and a personal bio that suggests he can actually implement it. And it makes no difference who he or she is, what nationality, none of that. I say it is time for Bobby to go as well, it was maybe midway through Robinson's reign. He definitely must go.

I think there's too much pressure from the more established players to return to their NCAA teams. The L1O sides seemed to start playing their non-college B teams anyway once the later games hit with the longer schedule, which I don't think was what they wanted.

    Liam Millar

He had an amazing 75 mins in front of 58000 fans at Celtic Park. The atmosphere was unbelievable. (I was there!!!) He was Completely shattered after the match. He absolutely worked his socks off for the team. It was very disciplined and mature performance in a left mid of a 4 which he hasn’t to my knowledge ever played. A left wing in a front 3 yes not a midfield 4. BBC player ratings of the match he was rated the 3rd best performance on the pitch!! Not bad for his first start against arguably the best team in scotland! Sorry gushing a bit still buzzing. Hopefully first of many starts now! Not many 19 year olds get to make that starting appearance or even ever get to experience that. It has been a fabulous year with ya tin of growth and experiences! Liam’s looking forward to getting back with the National team lads if selected for the Gold cup Dop !!

I don't think this point can be understated. They amount of media attention and local energy a Jets or Flames playoff run would have consumed in each of those cities is significant. The landscape is much clearer for the soccer organizations to make their mark.

At minute 9:10 in the interview David Clanachan is asked "What has the buy in been from Corporate Canada for the League?" In his long response at 9:50 through 10:20 in regards to MediaPro and Volkswagen; he had this to say: "It's interesting that companies outside of North America are first to see the opportunity when they studied the statistics that are out there" "They are Global football powers who understand the game" What he said could not be more true, if this league is to grow and be successful it needs Corporations HERE AT HOME to believe in the league and the vision that exists. The support of National and Local sponsors will be super important financially for all clubs, and in terms of be stability too. Now my biggest question is Why the hell is Petro Canada sponsoring Premier League Giants Liverpool and Bundesliga club Wolfsburg and not the CPL!? I guess what the commissioner said is a two-way street, I find it hard to understand that they would help finance two clubs who are thousands of kilometres away in what is elite European football and not something that is happening right next to you We're talking about A company that makes 40 Billion plus dollars a year What strange kind of world we are living in
