Match Thread: September 30, 2024 - Valour v Pacific

Recommended Posts

That urgency vibe that has been missing from Valour, given their circumstance, has to show up tonight.  See if Phil & Co. can coax it out of all 11 men.

Dyer has been scoring.  Valour have been finding ways to not convert great chances.  Thinking something is going to give tonight.  Both teams to score at 1.75 right now.  Over 2.5 goals at 1.92.

Valour the betting underdogs at home, a-gin, paying 3.1 to win.  Pacific paying 2.24 so the spread isn't stupid but big enough.

Hundal on 7 goals with 4 matches left.  He's come to life in September.  The opposite of Swibel who's been parked on 7 for what has to feel like a long time now.  Fingers and toes crossed.

Have to imagine this is a must-win match for Valour. Losing puts them seven points out with three matches left, winning puts them one point back.

It's a big one for Pacific's playoff hopes too

Away to Cavalry, away to York and finishing it all off at home against that Forge side which is 20 points north of them, so far.

That said, the home fixture may be their last real chance for points after tonight.

Cavalry is a home match for Pacific and we're generally decent against York

7pm on a holiday Monday seems like a poor time for the match, should have at least had it in the afternoon, expect attendance to be poor for this one.

Blue Bombers had a home game earlier this weekend.  Valour is stuck with whatever time slot they can get :(

LOL.  Oh yeah we're going to get murdered at the gate.

Geezus, the wee elf is already dressing in layers and complaining she's cold.

Isn't bad actually.  But of wind in the concourse but nothing dramatic.  Loved playing in this weather.

a serious club that is fighting for playoffs would bring at least five outfield subs when theres five subs allowed...this is a really bad look...new ownership is needed for at least one of the sixfive teams

Bad look for the whole league, imo. What if one or two pick up a knock in warmups or a bug, even?
