24-25 Champions League

Currently in the qualifying rounds, it looks to be an interesting new campaign.

There's the new format which I really like.  I've played it in Football Manager and it really makes for more games that are meaningful as well as spreading around the opposition.  If I'm correct you can also play clubs from your own country during the league phase. 

There are some new teams like Brest (France), Girona (Spain), Bologna (Italy), and Aston Villa (England), although the latter two are only new to the Champions League.

There may be some Canadians too joining Davies (Bayern) and Tajon (Inter), as Lille are in the qualifying rounds.

Draw tomorrow Thursday.

Teams are in one single table of 32 and draw a team from each pot. The total 8 matches home and away are played into January. 

The order of play will be announced Saturday.

The luck of the first draw is even more critical than with the former format.
