Maybe he looked earlier, but it seemed lucky to me. I'm glad he was able to pull it off and it worked out, but I'm not convinced it was a "nice play". You can clearly see him scanning the box right before taking his defender on, then he creates separation and curls it to Kobe with his weak foot. Not particularly lucky Edited August 6 by phresh Corazon

Crossing is a tricky skill, very often you aren't really aiming for a target. The net is easy to spot in a peripheral glance, you're trying to get it close enough to the net, but far enough from the keeper for one of your guys to run into it. Mix of anticipation and timing. Owosu was also in the box making a run, I'm not sure if JMR was actually aiming for Kobe, but he placed it perfectly to give one of his guys a great opportunity. Big_M
nashville needs to win by 2 vs revs to advance and they pull out surridge and shaffelburg when its tied late...goes to penalties and nashville is out...rookie coach stuff...callaghan is now 0-2...doubt nashville is one of the teams in the east that will make a strong wrong in mls...philly and dc are more likely

Did they just get old? combination of things they lost macnaughton boyd leal to long term injuries they stayed with the interim coach too long and in the end results got worse as they now have six straight losses in the league theyre also getting older yesterday they started 6 players 29yo+ and the rest werent that young either 4 of them 24-27 yo finally they brought in a coach with 0 head coaching experience at pro club level so they were obviously gonna lose the leagues cup matches with him narduch

MLS gives out extra GAM to new expansion teams so that they don't struggle out of the gate. Hence teams like Nashville, Austin, and St Louis having a lot of success early but then falling back down to mid-table in subsequent years. Watchmen
The game exposed what we all know about the Whitecaps: they're better than bad teams but any good team will beat them without too much difficulty. They don't defend well and offensively run out of ideas and resort to "lob a ball over the middle and hope White runs on to it".

Big_M
theres the huge bernardeschi mistake i had talked about in the montreal game...goes inside and gives it to opponent...suarez misses in front of goal...a minute later bernardeschi doesnt close down then two players go for a ball on the cross and rojas left alone at the second post finishes 1-0 3'
Gian-Luca
3 keepers dressed for TFC, with Altobelli also an emergency signing it would appear that the rumours that the team was getting healthy for the first time since opening day 2007 are exaggerated
