Both these teams have quality and it was a well played match in windy conditions, Forge were just a little more clinical to get the well needed home result they needed, Poku is really progressing! Thumbs up to our MNT coach to show up and have a word with the crowd at half-time just hours after our Copa match in Charlotte, I wish there was a larger crowd but we have had 3 home matches in a week and a Sunday night ko after the Euro final was always going to be a tough draw! I chatted with a bunch of Pacific fans after the match including Eric Lajeunesse's father, it was interesting to hear his path which got him to this point!

The family is from Ottawa, I believe his dad still lives there, he was asked to join the Whitecaps Academy which he did at a great expense to the family, when he was let go he wanted to stay out west and went to University there I forget which one and was drafted by Pacific in the CPL draft! We discussed in general how many good young Canadian players get overlooked and agree the CPL is definitely a very good option now!
