Joe MacCarthy
This is a list of players who were named to the provisional 57 man roster who didn't make it to Copa. How many of these guys have a realistic shot at being a regular member of the NT down the road. We could put together a decent team from some of the names here alone. Goalkeepers Milan Borjan (Slovan Bratislava) James Pantemis (Portland Timbers) Jonathan Sirois (CF Montreal) Defenders Diyaeddine Abzi (Leganes) Sam Adekugbe (Vancouver Whitecaps) Zorhan Bassong (Sporting Kansas City) Raheem Edwards (CF Montreal) Mark-Anthony Kaye (New England Revolution) Scott Kennedy (Wolfsberger) Jamie Knight-Lebel (Bristol City) Lukas MacNaughton (Nashville SC) Zac McGraw (Portland Timbers) Luca Petrasso (Triestina) Lucas Pos (Stade Lausanne Ouchy) Steven Vitória (Chaves) Dominick Zator (Korona Kielce) Midfielders Simon Colyn (De Graafschap) Liam Fraser (FC Dallas) Victor Loturi (Ross County) Harry Paton (Motherwell) Ralph Priso (Colorado Rapids) Ryan Raposo (Vancouver Whitecaps) Nathan Saliba (CF Montreal) Justin Smith (Avranches) Forwards Stephen Afrifa (Sporting Kansas City) Charles-Andreas Brym (Sparta Rotterdam) Lucas Cavallini (Puebla) Theo Corbeanu (Granada) Junior Hoilett (Aberdeen) Invited (injured) Deandre Kerr (Toronto FC) Jayden Nelson (Rosenborg) Iké Ugbo (Sheffield Wednesday) Invited (declined) Nello and GasPed 1

dyslexic nam
Lots of chances for many of the younger guys to contribute going forward. There is a big difference between old-guard guys like Milan, Vitoria and Cav and guys who just haven't cracked it yet, like Pantemis, Saliba and Nelson. I definitely differentiate between guys approaching (or past) their best before date and guys who are very much still on an upward trajectory. There are very few guys (and maybe none) that are under 24 or 25 that you can legitimately write off as future Nat players at this stage.

When I got this idea, Nelson was the name I had in mind. A guy who seemed to be doing well at a historic club then dropped off the radar. In the past he would have been a shoo-in, those days are now gone.

Goalkeepers Milan Borjan (Slovan Bratislava) - I don't see it James Pantemis (Portland Timbers) - Likely Jonathan Sirois (CF Montreal) - very likely Defenders Diyaeddine Abzi (Leganes) - up to him. Sam Adekugbe (Vancouver Whitecaps) - very likely Zorhan Bassong (Sporting Kansas City) - unlikely, not consistent. Raheem Edwards (CF Montreal) - up to him and formation. Mark-Anthony Kaye (New England Revolution) - Up to him Scott Kennedy (Wolfsberger) - I hope he remains healthy and in the picture. Jamie Knight-Lebel (Bristol City) - 100% Lukas MacNaughton (Nashville SC) - Yes Zac McGraw (Portland Timbers) - I think Marsch will have a look at him, but i don't think he fits his profile, however he is American, so very likely. Luca Petrasso (Triestina) - dunno Lucas Pos (Stade Lausanne Ouchy) - Gold Cup? Steven Vitória (Chaves) - Nope Dominick Zator (Korona Kielce) - Gold Cup Midfielders Simon Colyn (De Graafschap)- dunno Liam Fraser (FC Dallas) - yes Victor Loturi (Ross County) - yes Harry Paton (Motherwell) - dunno Ralph Priso (Colorado Rapids) - All up to him Ryan Raposo (Vancouver Whitecaps) - gold cup depth? Nathan Saliba (CF Montreal) - yes Justin Smith (Avranches) - I really hope so - still only 21 Forwards Stephen Afrifa (Sporting Kansas City) - haven't seen him yet, hard to say. Charles-Andreas Brym (Sparta Rotterdam) - barring a major change in form he'll remain a depth piece Lucas Cavallini (Puebla) - unlikely Theo Corbeanu (Granada) - likelyu Junior Hoilett (Aberdeen) Invited (injured) - really depends on the younger guys, if they play well they'll displace him. Deandre Kerr (Toronto FC) - surely Jayden Nelson (Rosenborg) - really hope so. Iké Ugbo (Sheffield Wednesday) Invited (declined) - definitely
BearcatSA
If you are a younger, naturallly left footed LB playing regularly at club level in that position, I think you going to getting Marsch's attention. Based on his selections and comments about Choiniere, i think he also values big work rate/big range central mids for his system, so if you are a relatively younger player with those athletic traits, you might rise up the charts.
