Thought the ref actually did well on the whole but this was very poor.

Especially since if he was mistaken the VAR would have helped him out. 

I think the organizers will get shit from a few fronts after these first games and smarten up a bit.

On RDS2, the Argentina match got 87k. The average across TSN/CTV2/RDS was reported as 1.1m. So, French language viewers only repped 8% of the total - way below Quebec's share of Canada's population.

But some would have watched on TSN as the RDS announcers while noted as being knowledgeable, many say they aren't easy to listen to and the PxP person often meanders away from calling the play over to stats/analysis.

At the same time, the Als home opener vs the Redblacks got 218k on RDS.

It's in line with most Euro matches so far on TVA Sports but there were a couple of matches that got over 100k.
