Another week, another Thorns loss.

ACFC cheated on the salary cap by US$50k but still didn't win. Angel City has been fined $200k, deducted 3 pts, and 2 execs are suspended for the rest of this year. They're now tied for last in the table with 2 other teams but in 12th due to superior GD. 

It seems the NWSL weren't keeping tabs on whether clubs were in line with the salary cap but will now do annual audits. Recent GM survey by ESPN said most teams are rules cheating including the salary cap. One GM was quoted: We've traded for players before and as part of the trade we've been informed that they are getting paid other money outside of what's in their contract.
