mtroads
Nice to see them convert a penalty. Not sure what Insigne was thinking when Bernardeschi played him in all alone and he tried to cut it back into traffic. Corazon

narduch
I'm still of the opinion that Herdman is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken turds.

Simply, letting Osorio play the full 90 min when he was easily the worst player on the pitch. Very sloppy and constantly caught in possession. This guy is suppose to be amazing at ball retention but he couldn’t do it against a last place Chicago side. 🤣 Edited September 29 by anthony7 Metro
Kingston
So we managed to score and even covert a penalty for a change. That’s a step forward. Unfortunately, a tie wasn’t enough to get from this game. We aren’t out of the playoffs, but this did not help. We are now at +15 on the season. Up next a RBNY team that is ahead of us in the standings but actually has fewer wins. The Saturday game will literally be a friendly for TFC and a warmup game for Miami’s MLS Cup run. Edited September 29 by anthony7
Gian-Luca
2 hours ago, BearcatSA said: I didn't see the game. Could you please elaborate? TFC this season have had a history of running out of steam in the 2nd half and giving up goals very late. In a must-win game, he waited too long to put available fresh legs on the field and predictably, instead of putting the game away by adding a second goal, they let Chicago take the initiative, got scored on very late and then Herdman throws on 2 subs even later to desperately regain the lead. They were perhaps unlucky not to score after they made those extremely late subs as they had some excellent chances in the 5-6 minutes of injury time but with all of the games and travel, those available subs should have been made earlier - even 5-10 minutes earlier might have made all the difference. This has been a pattern all season, the last live match I attended had the exact same problem (only it led to a loss, rather than a draw). As for the game before that, there didn’t seem to be any taking into account the reality of the Championship being decided on PK’s - ironically a player suspended for the Fire match (and who thus could have played a bit more on Weds) was brought on late in order to not take a PK reggietfc, Metro, BearcatSA and 1 other 2

BearcatSA
Grim match, too much selfish hero ball out there, notably defensively as well as offensively (watch the second goal again for that), just a lack of tactical discipline. You'd have thought Bradley the Elder or Dunfield was preppinng and coaching for this match. Bad effort all around.
mtroads
Team looks like they've checked out mentally already, which is weird since they still had a shot at a playoff spot. Corazon, Bison44 and BearcatSA
Kingston
Yet another disappointing loss. We remain at +15 on the season. Up next we host Miami. We currently occupy the final playoff spot but this is our last game of the season and the teams around us in the standings have two games left. We essentially need a win to at least have a chance at the playoffs.
