A pretty frustrating 2-2, with a debatable penalty and a late goal for Orlando. Even if we scored two goals the fact that our four best strikers are all injured at the same time did show.

On the CanCon Edwards actually did play well on this one. For all the critics he rightfully get its only fair to give him his due when he earn it...

Edwards gave a lot going forward, but he's just awful defensively.  Lacks focus, awareness and effort.  He didn't track his man repeatedly, didn't stick with the plays, just stopping his runs.  It was pretty bad.  Let his man through and to the inside for the 2nd Orlando goal.  He could've and should've stopped that.  I don't see how he plays next match.

Duke wasted soo many balls and opportunities, the guy has fallen off a cliff.  He showed so much promise.

Toye is soo good, always scores if he's not injured.  Really hope he manages to stay healthy and get a good run of games, he deserves it.  Lassiter is thriving with the forward role.

Choiniere and Piette doing well controlling the middle.  They seem to have figured it out and understand each other.  Gonna be difficult to get Saliba in there regularly.  Hopefully they switch to a 3-5-2 instead of 3-4-3, but Courtois seems very fond of this system.

The penalty call was just wrong, Sirois obviously got the ball first, contact ensued.  Refs have robbed them of 5 points now.  You'd think it'll balance out at some point, but they always seem to be on the losing end of calls lately.

Little has been said about this on here but Montreal is quietly off to a good start this year. On 10 points and tied for the last playoff spot but with a game in hand on most above them. Plus they have played 7 of the first 9 on the road. I think they already have about as many points on the road as they did all of last year.  Tbh, all 3 Canadian sides are off to good starts all things considered.

Nice mix of young players and veteran guys.  Wish there was even a bit more publicity in the city, but besides a bit of footy talk in English and French radio I never see any promotions.  Players meet ups with kids etc.  did Saputo really burn so many bridges in this city ?

Man, if anyone thinks Canada Soccer is a risky move for a coach and general secretary, CFM seems downright suicidal at the moment.

Joey is just unhinged, the fabled born rich loose cannon.  You'd think finding success in Bologna and moving there would help him, but just seems to have pushed his arrogance and ego to another level.  Most rich families would have an entire PR company assigned to Joey to help protect the name, but he just doesn't care what the common folk think or say.  I know the Saputo's are huge in philanthropy, I guess it's their way of keeping the balance?

He's got good intentions and seems to make some good business/financial decisions, but can't seem to keep it chill.  I'd say his biggest business mistake was partnering with the city for the stadium.  The city is more crooked than the mob and it's clearly evident in that deal.  I can't think of any scenario aside from CFM eventually selling and leaving.

How much longer can this model succeed if he continues firing at will?  Surely the candidates will run out?  No one will invest or partner up if he's sailing the ship, no one will buy and keep the team here considering the stadium deal.  Only hope would be the family stepping in and getting him therapy and medication.

His only defence is that his stadium is on public land and he can’t fleece the city and fans as much as he’d like.  Investments in stadium upgrades are his alone to make

Must be a correlation between owner happiness and how much they’ve extracted in tax breaks and infrastructure from taxpayers

Uhhh what?  Are you familiar with the details?  It's the other way around good sir.

Getting fleeced wouldn't be so bad, Saputo has it way worse than that.  There is no "break" either, he's getting absolutely swindled in the deal.

Looks like the circus arrived in Montreal yesterday.

Nothing wrong with that , but let’s get real looked like maybe a couple of hundred people there to greet him compared to other places in the world . Remember seeing videos of his arrival in China for example where thousands upon thousands of people at the airport and lining his bus route to greet him .
