Seems it will be a "$950,000 LED video display", will be a nice addition and something I heard other fans mentioning when talking about stadium needs for Vancouver FC.

Roof is of course the main wanted item, but don't think that will come for a few years sadly.

Who cares about a LED display? Why not use the money for better players and/or for a roof on one side at least and/or for community engagement? It is brutal to sit unsheltered in that stadium on a hot, sunny day. Get the display when there are more fans in the seats.

Its not a choice of a roof or a video display, the team would pick the roof if they had that choice and this is about an improvement that Langley Township is planning, has nothing to do with whether the team uses their own dollars for better players or not. That can happen regardless and a roof would/will cost quite a bit more than 950k.

Agree on how brutal it was at times to sit in the heat in the stadium, and not much better in the rain that luckily there wasn't much of for the first season.

Thanks. Is it Langley Township that is paying for the LED?

Maybe the LED screen is a way to improve the lighting? Two birds 1 stone?

I know people are a little underwhelmed with the LED screen idea but once again I have a different view. There were 2 things that doned on me at the stadium last year and it was.. its really dark and the scoreboard was beyond basic

I'm not one of these weather obsessed people. This seems to be a new culture. Very bad culture considering we live in friggin CANADA. I'm not kidding. There was a game last year in the pouring rain and I'm looking around and people are wearing t-shirts, cotton hoodies, scarves.. who the hell are these peoples mother????? You live in Vancouver.. you can't afford a weather proof shell/jacket? And then you're mad there isn't a roof but you don't have the common sense to wear a bloody rain coat knowing youll be standing in the pouring rain for the next 2 hours? I see it every day. People are so shockingly unprepared for the weather. They're shocked it's snowing in January, they're shocked that's its raining in October, they're shocked its hot in August. There is no bad weather, just bad clothing. Sort yourself out people. Stick your head out the window before you leave the damn house and stop moaning

Why?  I only watched one VFC match live this year so fill me in.

Was not close to this level, unfortunately. Like a late era Tiebert, heis a nice guy by everyone's account, he hustled his butt off, but with nothing to show for it.  Wild shots, poor first touch, poor positioning, etc.

Takes something to cut the assistant coach's son, too. Making some progress, I hope.

Coach's son resurfaces in Scotland.

"Hearts B play in the Lowland Football League, the fifth tier of Scottish football. Head coach Liam Fox says that the Lennon had shown up quite well during his two-week trial, with Hearts now giving him an opportunity over the summer to earn a long-term deal in Edinburgh."

Good for him. Good to see some of these guys using CPL experience as a platform.

Can't say I have seen any of this toxicity but I haven't been looking too hard. Maybe it's a bit like Generation IX with York 9's rebrand? A case of looking for a face saving excuse to jump off the bandwagon. This comment has some truth to it even though it's really more about Dean Shillington rather than Rob Friend where the money is concerned:
