I think you have to give him credit for a few of his previous 2024 signings. Swibel is scoring while Diogo seems like he has some real quality. Tass is a quality CPL player. K Edgar
French CanPL article on the 2 Saint-Laurent signings: https://fr.canpl.ca/article/loic-kwemi-et-safwane-mlah-a-valour-la-belle-histoire-continue-pour-les-anciens-de-cs-saint-laurent after translation... jonovision
So in the end I thought the two Quebec players were pretty poor yesterday. Not the worst on the pitch by any means, but I can put to bed any wild hopes I had of those two coming in and saving our season. Now that playoffs are out of the question, my one goal for the season is to find out a single piece of information of what happened to Kian Williams. Funny how that works... 2 assists gets Antonoglou on the team of the week -- own-goal and at fault on Ottawa's 2nd goal were overlooked. Mlah plays his first 2 games in the CanPL, generally holds his own, but is named to the TOTW when he gets a somewhat fortunate goal. Facchineri, the other goals scorer vs Ottawa, and therefore a candidate for TOTW had a brutal 1st half vs HFX which keeps he off the list. Perhaps if CB's Nimick and Klomp and not both scored he would be on the list too? Cheeta

K Edgar
- First 3 goal game for Valour since Sep 8, 2023 - Antonoglou and Hundal make team of the week (Antonoglou player of the week!) - Facchineri and Mourdoukoutas had a solid game - Alarcón back from suspension will allow Campbell to return to the MF replacing the suspended Ohin - Do Faria and Mlah keep their starting spots over Binate and Verhoeven? - Swibel hasn't scored in a long time - 4 points from a 3 game road trip, not bad - Starting longest home stand of the season, 4 games (Forge, York, HFX, Van) - can they get 7 or more points? - Still no update on Williams and Polisi? - Sanchez close to return? U21 minutes are suffering without him Edited July 30 by K Edgar Bison44
EnigMattic1
Makes you wonder, could Williams have been removed from the roster as a long term injury which could have freed up wages to try and bring Rea back? I mean, that could have been done, right? The lack of news on Williams is worrying.

Presumably Williams and Polisi have some reasonable chance of playing this year or they would have been removed from the roster. An update from Valour would be nice. Polisi appeared in a practice photo a while back, perhaps he is nearing fitness. Williams may still be in England for all we know. jonovision
For "fun". Valour's all-time goal scorers. I'd be curious to see if another CPL team has an all-time leader with fewer than 19 goals. I know Valour have made some questionable decisions, but would they really have not retained him and left us with only 2 central defenders?
