It's been raining this morning, with more rain forecast for later.  Could be friends and family in attendance for this one.

I was planning to go but have a youth soccer conflict. It wasn't pleasant the only other time I was there in the rain, though, and it was much warmer a couple of weeks back.

The club is onviously very lucky they didn't have more rainy dates this first season, especially here in the Lower Mainland. The covered stand/attendance issue is chicken and egg as far as I see it, but one soggy and cold day with the kids at Willoughby would likely be a one-and-done experience for most families, imo.

And me.

I made my pilgrimage for this one (my first visit to the LEC area) and enjoyed the fight back by the home side.  Shame about the weather, however.

The keeper for VFC made some absolutely massive stops, especially off Peruzza in the last 10 minutes when it was still at 1-1.  Well done!

He's a good keeper but has been abandoned by his defense so much this season....

VFC with a truly strong CB )or two) and a quality DM with range and pace, plus subs, should have enough to compete next year.
