I wonder if he has a "Davies"-like situation where he attended youth camps without actually having a Canadian passport.

Does he have 🇨🇦 citizenship?

Well at the very least he should be eligible for one.

yes, he just wasn't selected for the 2019 U17 cycle.

Grew up in Moose Jaw, let’s get another province represented in the program

As much as I would love for SK to claim him, it looks like he moved to AB when he was 9 years old and that's when he started playing competitively

He grew up in coaldale alberta and played for coaldale thunder before becoming a commuting player in the calgary league.

With a brief stop over in Brooks and playing for the Grasslands SA.

You know your southern alberta soccer!

One of the claims of goteh growing up was that his biological age and his given age were not the same.

Cavalry says he was born in Nigeria, Canada Soccer says he was born in Benin and Transfermarkt says born in Benin but Nigerian and Canadian citizenship...which one is it??

Although this move comes seemingly out of no where, Niendorf has extremely strong connections in europe so its not a surprising move as hes gotehs agent.

Niendorf developed and kickstarted careers for hargreaves, mckenna, hirschfield, ledgerwood, straith, kennedy just to name a few.

After a little reading he has attended youth camps for Canada and Nigeria. Born in Benin but moved to Canada at 4. He’s played 17 of 21 games for Cavalry this season and has 2 goals 2 assists. The press release makes it seem like the loan will end with a permanent purchase that will break the CPL transfer record.

I believe hes nigerian/canadian. Not Benin.

As for CMNT youth camps. I dont think hes ever attended a camp. After they disbanded NTC, they created a showcase tournament where the pro youth clubs would send a team and then they also put together an "all-star" team of players not commited to a pro academy. They were given youth canada jerseys to wear but thats not the same as being called up to a national team camp.

Edit: It doesnt appear he ever played for nigeria either like wikipedia states.

Wikipedia says he went to a Nigeria camp, not that he ever played for them.
