Concacaf U-17 Championship Group Stage Match Day 3

Time: 8pm ET/5pm PT

TV: One Soccer/Fubo

Venue: Estadio Pensativo, Antigua, Guatemala

Both teams won their 1st 2 matches. Group Standings:

Canada would need to win to win the group.

Group F winner will face Dominican Republic.

Group F 2nd place will face 3rd place from Group H (one of Haiti or El Salvador)

Didn't Dominican Republic upset us in a youth tournament recently? I would want to avoid them. 

Fortunately I don't see this crop of Canadians beating the USA, but let's see what happens.

Interested to see how Chukwu does against this competition. It will be a big test for the defence tonight.

From the looks of our line up, we will play a 3-4-2-1 with Pop the big striker up top all alone and N’Diaye and Mackenzie underneath. A midfield 4 of De Montigny  Badwal  De Sa  Rigopoulos and then Chukwu Stefanovic Fung at the back.  Not a bad line up I think.

Its been mentioned by others and I agree that this match result doesn't really matter.

We've been playing games every 2 days and the next game is in 3.

Apparently Biello got a yellow last game, so potentially a second yellow would see him miss the next game.

I think we need a match like this against much tougher competition than the first 2 opponents in a match that isn't a knock out, this will be better for determining who is worth a place in the next round!

Seems like nobody's replacing Biello's orchestrating in the midfield.

He's pretty good at that so hard to replace.  Plus De Sa and Badwal are sitting just in front of the back four and have a lot less time on the ball than they did in the previous two games.

De Sa is supposed to have some skills so hopefully he settles in and finds his feet.

Tehnically is to be expected at this level but the physical mismatch is a bit disappointing they're breaking through a lot of our tackles seems like the boys don't have the hate for the US yet.
