Details for March to Stadium (Belgium Match)

MARCH DETAILS (BELGIUM MATCH)

For those in Qatar and wishing to join the march to the stadium for the Belgium match:

Meet between 19:00 - 19:15 Al Riffa Mall of Qatar Metro Station (gives enough time for people from Stock Burger and Canada House meet-ups to make it)

March commences at between 19:15 - 19:30 to Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium

Assemble to right of Al Riffa (West) Exit (see photos); we will drop a pin 📍 when we arrive from Stock Burger.  Be prepared for changes to assembly point due to security on the day.

We will then March to the stadium (see photo for basic route, actual route will be decided on the day depending on security and access ability)

For up to the minute details on the March while there, please DM me to join the What’sApp preferably well in advance of the day.

This will be posted on the Facebook group, the Voyageurs site, the main WhatsApp group and you can then also share in your sub WhatsApp groups for Qatar (eg. Ones you have for accommodation). CSA and TSN will be informed.

Just a heads up, someone posted that the only exit from the metro is Al Riffa North as they are heavily directing traffic flow in the area. Not sure what this might mean for a march … might still be possible, but hopefully it isn’t a match zig-zagging through a bunch of various lineups.

So everyone, this is the day of the match and excitement is building. We have coordinated with Canada House and Stock Burger events to get to the stadium metro stop (see above) for around 19-19:15 and the March to start at 19:30ish. Please get there on time and watch this and the WhatsApp group for live details as we may need to change meeting point on the fly and planned March route, all due to security and access.  But bring it loud and proud!
