Not bad. A transfer fee for a player that was only there for half a season.

I think this is one of the financial aspects of the CPL that many people under estimated, (I'm Looking at you😎)  I know I didn't expect any transfer revenues for at least 5 years.  And given the COVID years, the record for the first four years has been exceptional.  Though I'm sure a "PDL" model would have brought greater returns, unfortunately we didn't go that route..  I think in the next 5 years or less we will see one or more CPL graduates command large international transfer fees, hopefully with a major sell-on fee for the CPL club.

York announced two new signings today:

CanPL vet Jeremy Gagnon Lapare

https://canpl.ca/article/york-united-announce-signing-of-midfielder-jeremy-gagnon-lapare

& 24 year old Dutch left back Lassana Faye

Worth noting, McNabb speaks as if Faye is the Abzi replacement. He was playing in the Eredivisie as recently as the end of 2020 and has 5 past appearanes in the Europa League Group Stage.

Faye was with Rukh Lviv.  Recommendation of Osaze?

I’m interested to see how JGL does with York.  The only knock was it seemed like he was a bit slow or in decisive in the final 3rd for the Wanderers.  I often wondered if this was on him or the system we were playing. Good at set pieces and can play in different positions when needed.  Nice signing for York.

With the latest International signing, York now have 11 on the roster, including 2 who spent the season on loan to FCE.

I think Warchewski is guaranteed for 23 with an option for 24

11 internationals lol

Loan to mls next ?
