Thank you for this. Can you post an update after this past weekend's matches? Is there any chance Atlético fails to reach 2,000 minutes and is thus ineligible for the playoffs?

Can you envision a scenario in the final match of the season (Atlético-York on Oct. 9), where York needs a win to finish fifth and could also "accidentally" knock enough U21 Atlético players from the pitch so that Atlético fails to reach the 2,000-minute level, allowing the fifth place team into the playoffs? 😈

The league has a page that tracks it:

https://canpl.ca/u-21-minutes-played/

They have 2 matches left. So they needs an average of 110 U21 minutes per match.

why not just play all 4 next game .. get it done and over with. have the development on the bench to sub on

might get trashed ...be back at full strength for the last game of the season

That would be a real dikk move.  Not inconceivable, but a dikk move, LOL.

I'd expect to see a lot of Bahous and Roy vs HFX this weekend.  Possibly at least 60/65 minutes for each?  But as we have been told for the last month or so, AO is managing it and will be there come the final whistle v York on October 9th.
