The winner will face one of Cartagines (Costa Rica) or Real Espana (Honduras) in the quarter finals. Real Espana lead 2-0 on aggregate.

Interesting line-up for Pacific. Daniels on the bench, even though he's not part of the team's best 11 he's the only natural striker there. Toussaint has been given a lot more minutes than I expected. 4 central midfielders starting. Let's do this.

Only half watching (wife wanted to watch a few episodes of “Only Murders in the Building”) but it seems like Pacific need to pick it up a notch if they want a chance to go through.   Didn’t seem like they were too threatening.

The good thing is they are still in it.

On the bright side its still just one goal coming from somewhere and then winning in PKs so it isn't implausible but yeah, its a pretty steep slope... Mind you, I think it was something of a concensus Herediano were going to be though to beat but still, its a bummer.

This one might be controversial but I am really struggling Merriman's train of thoughts at the start of the game. Pacific need to score, a 0-0 mean they are done, so why the hell would you play a 5-4-1?

It was always gonna be a though task but IMO that call added an extra challenge that was just not needed.
