Very surprising, almost every player from the 3 MLS academies. Clearly, those academies have identified the only talented players, job done for the national team staff.

Boulogne play in National 2 (4th tier).

Same level Tyler Attardo played last season.

Of course this kid is probably still in the youth teams

I am sure there is some bias towards the MLS academies but what also happens is these 3 academies will spend a lot of resources to get the best performing kids to join their academies.

The schedule is out:

We are playing our group stage matches in the city of Antigua.

Great place to escape the winter btw, maybe Guatemala's most touristy city.

Absolutely beautiful city and becoming a tourist destination, in particular a very popular place for weddings.

Also, Montreal born Dominican/Guatemalan Marco Leonel Dominguez (Guatemalan International now) has been playing for Antigua in the top flight of Guatemala for 4 years now.  I believe he just started a loan for a team in Kuwait recently.  Also managed to go watch them play vs Forge a few years back in Hamilton for the 2019 CONCACAF League.

I am excited to see a lot of new names of which some we can declare the next Alphonso Davies, some we can spend the next 4 years worrying if they will play for Canada or another nation and some who Toronto FC will obviously ruin by putting them on their roster.

So right on all the above

Really random thought in the wrong thread but... a lawyer friend of mine does some teaching for UBC law school. Apparently there is an associated charity and the expectation is that you donate your salary back to the school. I wonder if this could be part of the resolution in the pay dispute, at least for those who can afford it. It would be nice to have some of that $10m for youth camps, friendlies, and other things leading into 2026.

There's an 08 kid at FC Emmen (Eredivisie) - Lee Robinson and 08 kid at RCD Espanyol - Thomas Dean Coulumbe Montenegro.

Also mentioned before but there's a 2008 kid at Sparta Prague, Kai-Jupa Williams

Guessing the CSA is aware of these kids but surprised they weren't at the earlier camp.

Kai-Jupa Williams played 6 league matches for Sparta U15 before the winter break.

It looks like the Camp will be at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento in the southern part of Mexico City.

Some may recall that the #CanWNT senior team played a friendly there a year ago. The angle wasn't superb but they did have the ability for a camera and livestream setup. I clearly remember watching that loss on OneSoccer.

Mexico have announced their squad for this camp:

We play Mexico on Monday, December 19th. Costa Rica has also been invited so we may play them as well.

Those kids would all be eligible in 2025 still. Underaged players aren’t very common at this level.

They’re 15 going to a U-17 camp, wonder if it’s merit or to see them early. I don’t mind though.

Apparently 07-08 birth years have a lot of talent.

Wouldn't all those kids playing in Europe be eligible for at least one other European country, since Canadians can only go to europe at 18? I think they're early enough in their careers taht there's a chance they land on Netherlands or Spain's radar.

That’s why we have to get them in our camps asap.
