Match Thread: Voyageurs Cup - Quarter-Final - Montreal v Forge - May 25, 2022

Go Hamilton!

This would be a tremendous time for an upset and some revenge for Forge.  Montreal also isn't above playing a bit of a B squad and hoping for the best in this type of game as evidenced by last year's semi-final.  So there's at least a chance for Hamilton.

Would be pretty cool to have Forge and TFC face off against each other a couple of times over a couple weeks (  :

I do feel bad for Forge to some degree, it isn't that they are playing all that badly but between having lost the last two games and the fact Forge almost got the upset last year CF Montreal seem determined to make a statement and a roster of MTL's quality with that frame of mind is gonna give many, many teams a rought time...

Posession was 59-41 MTL, which is a descent gap but not a massive one. Shots were more onesided though, with MTL leading 17-5, and shots on targets even moreso, with MTL leading 7-1.

It's an 18 point gap, and when teams fall behind they typically actually narrow the gap on possession, meaning it could have actually been worse.
