Since I ve been following your team, I am gonna give you my very best XI from Canadian footballers of all time, based from the ones that I have watched.

-------------Forrest---------------

          Yallop   De Vos.   Bridge.

Stalteri DGuzman Hargreaves DJong

Radzinski. DRosario.  Van't Schip

I don't know what you think about it but I think. Those are the strongest I could field with 2 second best ever from what I ve seen over the years.

--------------Hirschfeld-------------

Edgar   McKenna Samuel Brennan

Bernier.   Imhoff.  Johnson Simpson

         Bunbury.     Olivier Occean

I presume Hargreaves and Van't Schip did not play for us so.... which de Guzmán

oh, yeah, totally didn't register he'd included them.

I definitely wouldn't put players who never repped Canada in a "Canadian" best 11. That gets kind of murky. Just my perspective.

Is it terrible that I would prefer it if this Javier fellow just disappeared?

Don't worry I'm alive and kicking.  I just gave my perspective,   ditto this I still think both Owen and Van't Schip should have played for you.  As for Julian brother.  Owen got karma

The problem with these lists is you are comparing Gretzky to Howie Morenz which is unfair and impossible.  Toss that in with a new generation, many of whom are provided with information the likes of which we have never seen before, and are still loathe to recognize anything before their time.  Many are blissfully ignorant, and worse, proud of it.

I think the least one could do is judge a player on how dominant they were versus players in their own time.  We had some pretty good players on the 86 WC team.  A few have had their legacies somewhat smeared by what happened post career.  I think a good example would be Dale Mitchell who was a fantastic player but an unsuccessful NT coach which I believe hurt his legacy.  Same with The Duz.  Igor Vrablic was on track to become an all time great and derailed.

Add in training techniques, diet, supplements, sports science and people from yesteryear pale as compared to today, it is hardly fair.
