On India's independence day, FIFA has suspended the Indian football fed due to third party influencings. So, this means the u17 World Cup in October can't be held in India.

Next steps are being assessed.

The third party involvement is that the Indian Supreme Court directed the executive committee of India's fed to hold elections as per the schedule proposed by the Committee of Administrators (CoA), which is currently running the affairs of the national federation.

FIFA said the Supreme Court's order "allegedly" resulted in deviations to the roadmap agreed upon on July 1st. There was supposed to be a call for special general assembly on the first week of August to approve the new statutes worked upon with FIFA, the AFC and the Indian football community.

We will play in the Revelations Cup in Leon, Mexico starting August 31.  Four nations take part, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Canada.  I wonder if the games will be on TV in any of these 4 countries.

Canada lose 4-1 to Mexico.

Canada scored early on a Watson hustle play on a GK dilly daliance.

Cali-based Sophie Murdock got red carded on 2 unnecessary and reckless yellows in the 1st half when it was 1-1 (not shown in highlights). Flores sisters played for Mexico.

Canada defeats Chile 3-2 to finish off the Revelations Cup. Wong's goal was straight through the GK's wickets. Chile keeper was basically in tears for the rest of the match and afterwards. No sign of Maalouf in the past 2 matches.

Colombia wins tourney after a 1-1 with Mexico. Canada in third on GD.

The running speed of Amanda Allen in incredible, she makes others pursuing her look as if they were standing still.  The Colombia Mexico games was incredibly poorly officiated, a circus.

Canada squad released for World Cup. Big news is no Maalouf due to injury - so the small chance of getting out of the group drops to nil.

New players from Concacaf qualifiers and pre-camps are Kayla Briggs from NDC-ON and 2 players who made the jump from the u15 team: A Chukwu & E Wong. But all 3 were at the recent Revelations Cup.

8 players from NDC-ON, 6 from Whitecaps, 4 from NDC-QC, 1 from NDC-NS and 1 from Memphis University. Players that were dropped appear to be largely from NDC-QC and a couple of American based players.

Match times and one date listed in the press release are also off as India is 9.5 hours ahead of EDT Canada.
