I like how the whole sequence started because Hoilett won the foul by CONCACAFing from the slightest touch to draw the foul.Then he runs across the pitch to receive the Eustaquio free kick from that from the set piece he created.

Confession time: when Eustaquio announced he had switched to us, I was lukewarm about the announcement, mostly because I have a predisposition against Canadians who once played for other countries (hello Vitoria).  I'm sure you could go back and find a post or two of me saying "Eustaquio who?  Gimme Sammy Piette all day."

To be fair, a Piette pass from distance to David did the same thing at the 2019 Gold Cup; I forget which match it was.

Hoilett definitely fits into CONCACAF nicely.  He isn’t diving but he is happy to go to ground when he gets contact.
