He has been resting, he has played 12 games since 2014.

what MM said, Stam's really only been called when they need a keeper on the bench and the regular backup is injured/otherwise not at the club - usually in pre-season when they're between departures and signings (like today). Most of the time he's busy on the touchline as part of the backroom staff.

I thought I'd find this here, but no, so here we go: Cyle Larin came off the bench in the Turkish Cup m. 65, while Atiba started and subbed out m. 106, as they drew Konyaspor and had to make it through penalties to get into the next round, think that is semis. 

Larin did not take a penalty shot. And yes, Atiba went 106 minutes, beast!
