gigi riva Posted April 18, 2021 Share Posted April 18, 2021 TFC lost that sucks but it was nice to see CF Montreal win Im hoping that both TFC and Montreal caN renew that rivalary they had going during the seasons of 2015,2016 and 2017. That Eastern Conference final two leg series they had in 2016 was maybe the best thing to happen in Soccer in this country since Canada won the Gold Cup in 2000. Club Linesman Posted April 18, 2021 Share Posted April 18, 2021 Great to see Victor Vazquez back in MLS. He was a difference maker for TFC in 2017. Higuin hoping his beard can score a goal or 2 this year and so far Chicharito looks like he did last year which is to say horrible. Wonder if he will even make the field for Mexico if his form remains like this. Finally, as much as I didn’t like his philosophy with respect to the kids, nice to hear Vanney’s voice on the sideline. Gian-Luca Posted April 19, 2021 Share Posted April 19, 2021 None of the teams in CCL play won their opener this weekend, with only TFC even managing to score a goal (they of course gave up four so even that is hardly a consolation). No idea how the second Vancouver goal was disallowed for offside (handball would have been fine, but it wasn't offside), but a nicely taken set piece by Baldisimo, following the first goal being off a nice Gutierrez set piece.
