Chad_Impact
Yeah I'm holding up hope this is all some good joke to distract us, and this whole re-design turns out be nice...but knowing this club...that's the logo.

CanadaFan123
It's hilarious to think of how much designers got paid to come up with this garbage. The only explanation here that would make any sense is that MTL is planning on leaving MLS and wants to save the Impact name for CPL. narduch, Moldy9, The Real Marc and 1 other
Chad_Impact
They say the reasoning behind the rebrand is appealing to the world of football, but then explain every little overthought detail about how the new identity is community based. What am I missing here?
Chad_Impact
The one good piece of news is the club does in fact have plans for a Stade Saputo facelift, where winter games will be possible SoccMan

costarg
Bah, me, personally, I like it. This is an improvement on U13 Impact across the board. It needed to be done 10 years ago, even before MLS. But now is better than never. Bandaid is off, move on. Colours are nice, logo is ok, the front office is doing their thing. They're going in the right direction. People will always find a way to criticize, especially in these covid times. It's up to the individual to see snowflake as negative or positive. Half full vs half empty. There will never be a shortage of insults between rival clubs, why even try to avoid it? shamrock, longlugan, MM3/MM2/MM and 3 others 4 1
red card
It feels more like Montreal. Some similarities to city of Montreal'a logo. But snowflakes also remind me of Olympics: Sarajevo 84 & Salt Lake 02. Edited January 14, 2021 by red card
Impactsupporter
Well I guess this is likely the last time I post under this nickname. Will be changing it in a few days. 😑 red card and MtlMario
The Real Marc
Better than what they had before. Better than York United. Not much worse than anything else. The multiple Ms and arrows making a snowflake is fun to look at for a few minutes. Does look a bit like a knock-off winter jacket logo. Not as bad as I had anticipated. I'd wear it. The Real Marc
My pet peeve is having the logo explained to us. If you have to explain it, it doesn't work. Who really thought those arrows were for the Metro? Did they really have to bullet point the aspects of the Caps logo when they put it out there? Nope. But I'm a crank. Still like the logo though. Trois Reds
So because everyone else in MLS is becoming Something FC, they decided to be radically different and become CF Montreal. Which in English is Montreal FC. I'm going to miss the Impact name. I do like the logo. The colour names always crack me up, though. Impact Black? Black is black. And the blue is called... well I guess we now have a Canadian Classique between the Reds and the Sacre Bleus? I don't pay much attention to this off-field stuff, as long as it doesn't impact my desire to wear the merchandise and the on-field product is competitive, I am good to go. Look at Chicago for a really bad logo. Edited January 14, 2021 by MM3/MM2/MM Ivan and Trois Reds

shamrock
Is there anything more inherently soccer as club-name changes? Every self respected club has had at least one in Europe. And to be honest, I never liked the "Impact", cause it's generic and makes no sense. Whitecaps is a reference to the location (mountains and ocean), Impact could have been just anywhere. Not sure what to think of Club Foot though, but I do like the new logo. A well, they'll probably get it right the third time around. costarg
fil
This rebrand makes it almost too easy for Toronto FC supporters to troll Montreal. Just check club foot in image search on Google to see what you get. Snowflake! "Special snowflake" memes for Montreal... Snowflake image reminds some on reddit of the Glendale Community flag joke.... I doubt the long term success of this rebrand... Moldy9
Chad_Impact
What does it take for a re-brand to be reversed, or at least edited? This has literally made the club a laughing stock, even amongst it's OWN fans.
