I mentioned a reason the visa may have been limited and called it by what it is know as "Trump travel ban". I could have called it Executive Order 13769 but that may have been confusing. Again, please let me know where I was being political? The year is 2021. Trump is not president. Ali Adnan played in the USA under a visa in 2020. When I raised the fact that Trump is not president you stated: "Suggesting a visa issue for a visa issued during Trump's presidency for a citizen of Iraq that would have been affected is good reasoning. Many you should try reasoning before playing politics." Your Trump theory has been debunked and now you're saying this is an argument about "cooler presidents". Stated facts is not being political - you're projecting.

BearcatSA
Tons of graft, little craft. They battled after that terrible early goal but they simply don't have enough quality out there, starting or coming off the bench.
toontownman
Fair enough if they have been reticent looking for a new coach with the team stuck in the states but now it looks like they can return to Vancouver.

Watchmen
Looks like Cornelius is going out on loan. Even if this falls through, have to imagine they'll look to work out another one.
BearcatSA
Not surprised at all by this move. I guess that's the reason for Facchineri's presence on the last match day squad. An Observer

Watchmen
I'd assume the Whitecaps would mirror the Lions for attempted attendance purposes. So, about 12,500 tickets when they return.
BearcatSA
Cavallini to Rayo Vallecano transfer rumour and still no official word on the supposed signing of the Scottish guy; Cornelius moved on; even the esports guy gets canned for telling an opponent online to top himself. And the team sucks. What a sh*tshow. Stanley and Dominic94 1

Acid-Tone
I read in a portuguese paper that the 'Caps and Ryan Gauld (Scottish guy) have agreed to terms o a 3 year contract. The problem is that though Gauld and his agent claim they free to move, Farense (his club) say that in February they activated a one year extension clause in his contract. Gauld is claiming the extension clause is invalid, due to the team being relegated this season. Not sure how long this drags out.

toontownman
MDS LIVES! Much better 2nd half. Centre of defence is a worry though. Hope we grab a DP CB. Bison44

Watchmen
Solid tie on the road vs LAFC that could have been a win. Caicedo has really been impressive recently and looked dangerous for most of the night. But having said that, Gutierrez should be taking more of the corners over Caicedo. Gutierrez with another nice free kick last night for 2nd goal, while Caicedo's corners were consistently poor.
Watchmen
Gauld announcement finally incoming. So, the #10 is arriving. The team is returning to Vancouver with a lot of home games left. Time for MDS to show what he can do, as the excuses are coming to an end.

Watchmen
Yeah, I think we're going to be seeing less of Baldisimo. But he'll be a great option off the bench, or starting in mid-week games.
Watchmen
https://theprovince.com/sports/soccer/mls/vancouver-whitecaps/the-art-of-the-deal-how-the-vancouver-whitecaps-ryan-gauld-deal-nearly-didnt-get-done Two things on this. First, good to see the Whitecaps actually do that it took to get it done - no dragging it out 90 days to avoid paying a fee, a fee that was minimal on the global scale. They helped the player out when they technically didn't have to. And second, damn glad Ryan didn't quit before signing based on all that border mess. But I think the first part is the kind of thing the Whitecaps have failed to do in the past, and that likely helped out with the second part.
