Great idea and thanks.  Would you be willing to update your list based on the additions below (and results as they come in)?  It would be a great one-stop-shop for tracking Cancon in Europe.

Sure sounds good.  I will do a full new post at the end of the weeks.

For now, Borjan is through with Red Star and the Red Imps game was postponed because players on the Kosovo team tested positive for COVID.

Let Marmoush’s fate be a lesson to others. That’s what happens when you don’t commit to Canada :)

Europa League draw later tonight...

Pot 1: Arsenal, Tottenham, Roma, Napoli, Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, Villareal, CSKA Moscow, Braga, Gent, PSV, Celtic

Pot 2: Dinamo Zagreb, Sparta Prague, Slavia Prague, Ludogorets, Young Boys, Red Star Belgrade, Rapid Vienna, Leicester, Qarabag, PAOK, Standard Liege, Real Sociedad

Pot 3: Grenada, AC Milan, AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord, Maccabi Tel Aviv, AEK Athens, Rangers, Molde, Hoffenheim, LASK, Happoel Beer-Sheeva, CFR Cluj

Pot4: Zorya Luhansk, Nice, Lille, NK Rijeka, Dundalk, Slovan Liberec, Royal Antwerp, Lech Poznan, Sivasspor, Wolfsberger, Omonia Nicosia, CSKA Sofia

I'm torn if I want our guys in 4 separate groups or if Gent, Red Star, Rangers, and Lille would make for one glorious Canuck-off.

All our boys will have some chance to shine on a big stage.

Tough draw for Lille!

red star with a favourable draw and Rangers look ok

Yankov has become my new favourite player (for some reason).

And, yes, Lille's is a group of death in Europa league terms.

2 days ago I didn’t care about Yankov at all really. Then news of him committing to Canada comes and I’m interested. The next day (yesterday) I didn’t even know he had a game until it was in the second half, then all of a sudden I am anxiously hitting refresh to see updates of the score :D

Midtjylland’s schedule for CL. It’s going to be a tough road, hopefully James will see some action.

It was funny when I looked at the groups yesterday I thought... Mytjylland, why does that team ring a bell? Just getting to this thread now. Good for James. Hopefully he sees some action
