Theo Corbeanu

For anyone else looking for answers, this EFL Trophy/Papa John's/Vans/who knows what else, is a cup contested between only League One (tier 3) and League Two (tier 4).

And most Brits think Canadians and Americans are stupid for saying "soccer" instead of "football". They don't exactly have a sterling record of naming things (and in fact, they came up with "soccer" as a name too).

Theo Corbeanu 8 (star man)

Very direct on the right hand side. Looked bright and was positive with the ball at his feet. He is still a little rough around the edges but his pace and trickery gives the Owls something different in the final third.

Seems SWFC twitter fans want to see more of Theo and don't understand why he isn't playing more.

Has had a bumpy start to life at Wednesday with two illnesses, but when he plays he's a real bright spot.  Today was a strong performance, was relentless in one vs one's.  Really should have had a goal after beating two defenders in the box but was robbed by the GK.  Hoping he gets to start on weekend.

My Owls insider had this to say today,

"We've been on a bad run as of late and he played poorly in a few games mid-September. Hasn't  even made the squad for a few games, but he was outstanding  last night. Hope he starts Saturday and can finally show some consistency. "

Thomas Nef dropping some inside news that Corbeanu is not happy at Wednesday and does not like the League One style.

He's also not thrilled with Wolves and their decision to send him there.

Doesn’t seem like a good idea to be leaking this. He’s stuck there until January at least or longer if Wolves don’t recall him..he just needs to accept it and work hard.

Why the fuck would Wolves loan him somewhere who isn't even going to play him? He's a young player with promise and you just sent him two leagues down to ride the bench. No shit he's unhappy, Wolves should be unhappy as well. Everything about this loan spell has been a disappointment.

I doubt Wolves knew he would get so little playing time. Sheffield brought in quite a few wingers and attacking players after the loan was announced so the squad looks much different know then it did when Theo was loaned.

It is what it is - League One was always the far most likely spot for him to get loaned to. He just needs to work through it.

Can't imagine they aren't. Probably lessons to be learned for everyone, but mostly for Corbeanu. Shitty situation but it's up to him to find a way onto the field. The fight for playing time will serve him down the road. Silver lining...
