SpursFlu
I cant help but feel this will drive players to CPL, USL and Central American leagues Seems teams are basically being paid to go away and become U23 development teams. I think it kinda stinks but will definitely change the landscape of Concacaf club football
SpursFlu
Different articles I've read seem to suggest they'll start to allow teams in but under more of an expansion team type concept. Atlante is always mentioned
dnina10
If you don't mind me asking, but do you have any articles talking about this? I'd like to read the articles you read. I thank you in advance
SpursFlu
No worries. I'm not big on posted too many links. It feels a bit pushed and I always figure people can operate the Google machine. Since it's a chat I like to write what I interpet from news as apposed to just passing along information. Unfortunately nowadays you have to consider your source in not that the information is incorrect but in how they want to present it. For instance espnfc will provide different views but obviously they're not big defenders of pro rel and would likely embrace a liga MX/MLS joint venture. Which seems very likely at this point https://www.google.ca/amp/s/africa.espn.com/football/mexican-liga-bancomer/story/4086507/mexicos-liga-mx-suspends-promotion-relegation-for-next-five-years%3fplatform=amp https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.espn.com/soccer/mexican-liga-bancomer/story/4086046/playersclubs-furious-over-reports-liga-mx-will-end-promotion-and-relegation%3fplatform=amp Edited April 21, 2020 by SpursFlu

I thank you for the links. It's unfortunate that Mexico are in the state they are in. I understand why they have done this, and at least they intend to make amends to the players by compensating them. I honestly hope after the 5 years, they intend on opening back up the system. Honestly, of the things I've heard and see go on since the quarantine, this is by no means the worst. It could get worse, but I don't see that happening. Mexico is a footballing country, thus this won't happen forever
SpursFlu
I think Mexico US has a growing relationship. Liga MX has higher ratings in the US than the epl. Money money money. I'm not for it but if they put themselves together they will definitely be a force to be reckin with
